But we all know that if Katy served another Teenage Dream 3.0 with a Roar 2.0 lead single, she'd still smash. The whole "she NEEDS to change her sound" thing is b/s
She can, and she probably will, but she doesn't have to. Sometimes, changing a sound is more detrimental than advantageous. She needs to not change it too much, if she's going to change it at all.
If Katy's next album sounds like the PRISM bonus tracks.
I don't want another full upbeat pop album full of LFN's and Birthday's but at the same time I don't want a snooze-fest either. An album of songs like Legendary Lovers and Dark Horse and Pearl and The One That Got Away and This Moment would be amaaazzingg.

Choose Your Battles was good too. It Takes Two needs some work though.
Overall, the deluxe tracks are some of the ones I liked the most!
Guys. I'm not sure what to do... or if I can do anything or if its even worth it. It wont make or break a life, but it's a "game changer." I have a 'receipt' that Katy's Katy Hudson album sold much more than that joke of a number (200 copies... come on!) I always knew that wasnt right... for a few reasons. I can 'expose' the receipt... it's legit. It's not a chart (but now I wonder if that IS somewhere!), just words from someone that knew Katy back then. But for now, it's kinda like my sweet little secret I'm just basking in. LOL Cuz what will this info do? The 200 thing is hard core out there, the butt of alllllllll album selling jokes, ect. lol Haters won't be all "Ohhh, my, I was so so wrong. KH and KP just rock cuz that first album sold thousands!" I've sat with this info for a while... and it keeps becoming a main thought when I see "KH sold crap"/the album cover. *sigh*
