there is no repeating hook or chorus
and the lyrics are quite simple & straight to the point

It was a friday and i had waken up early at 4 to hear it , i went straight to gaga's website and heard it
and i just remember my first impression was that the chorus was insanely catchy
and i also remember that morning my local radio station 104.1 KRBE talking about it and talking about how it sounded like a Madonna song

damn it, if only I could remember where the interview was I could google it.. i remember watching it tho
Because a lot of her original fans were bandwagoners. Just as many of Adele's 'stans' are. When she releases something that doesn't automatically launch her to the top, you find out who is really here for the music and who is here for success. I sort of think Gaga actually knew that...
Funny that you say that, she DOES indeed know and she knew what she was doing far longer than we actually thought. In her Howard Stern video she talks about how David Bowie's fans always wanted Ziggy Stardust, and she looks up to David Bowie, she's on of his biggest fans, so i'm sure she knew that by changing her image/music that her fans would do the same. She's definitely in tune with what her fans want.
