Random question: Where did the estimate of 66 million albums sold come from? I know it's old, but I heard it's from the IFPI and I'd like a source on that. Thanks.

I think It's fake, it's 75-80 million.

EDIT: I remember when both of us tried to track the sales, we came up with the exact number of 73.5 million I think.

I thought they would in the release of TSC, As these numbers were released before the release of GH:MP, but they didn't...

Wikipedia is wrong tho... an official release from JIVE and a lot of media outlets in 2004 (when she released her first GH) pointed 85 million records (albums + singles) and 60 million albums sold worldwide.

Now a days, JIVE STILL uses the SAME numbers from 2004 and a lot of media outlets haven't update themselves when they post some numbers regarding Brit, although TIME once said she sold 120 million records in an article they wrote about her...

The real numbers by now should be 75 million albums and more than 100 million albums + singles (it might be 110-120 million), 100 million is such a BEAUTIFUL number to say you've sold and they still using those old numbers...

I know for a fact soon after her first Greatest Hits was released (end of 2004) she sold her 60 millionth album hence why they decided to release "Do Somethin'." I love how her official website still says 63 million albums sold in articles today.

She has sold 20 million singles in the USA and 6 million singles in the UK. So you get the 100 million records figure from 74 million albums and 26 million singles (from UK and US alone). She's at 120 million.
