It takes me a while to write a full song

I just can't write a full song in one sitting

Yeah, my best songs are the ones that flow quickly and easily. I can flush out a song in full in a day though pretty consistently.

Oh definitely. Writing on a laptop/phone/etc. just doesn't feel the same. Writing on paper just puts me in the right mindset.

I also get the most creative at night with all the lights off when im on the verge of falling asleep It's the craziest thing.

Omg I don't hear melodies and instrumentation very often at all, but when I'm exhausted and in a weird dreamy state, I almost always hear them. It's the weirdest thing, it happened just today too

I used to play the guitar. I should've stuck with it because now I want to become a music producer while going to a normal university. But all their music schools require an audition to get in

Don't get me wrong, I love it.

But I feel like it'd be really hard to put melodies to my lyrics with just a harp. (It's similar to the piano I guess so I could always fall back on that...?)

I can swear I've made up melodies in my sleep before. It's the weirdest thing and then for the first half hour after I wake up that melody is like the most meaningful, transcendent melody in existence.
