You're being very benevolent calling that song a mess because it is simply horrid. I appreciate their good intention but the outcome is unbearable. The excessively autotuned 'vocals' are very painful to listen to, so that the line "You got me singing like Mariah" appears to be rather tragic than cute.
I don't know how true it is, but that audio that was ripped from that site was said to have come from the Sony hack. why the HELL didn't they get the performance with Michael Bolton? I'd rather that.
