That's an over exaggeration... she's a great actress yes, and that does gain promotion for the group but what is she doing for the group on a vocal/performance level?
Nothing. She never has, she has a few iconic lines here and there and her dancing isn't the worst.

I don't understand why some people think UEE is more useless than Juyeon? I'm not saying that either are, but in the grand scheme of things, UEE is better at everything than Juyeon yet people really like Juyeon for whatever reason.

And don't with Sulli, she's not a great singer by any means but her voice is really pretty. Dynamically, she contributes a ton to f(x)'s tracks.

Uee is not completely useless

I mean she's the one that the public knows out of the group and that helps when it comes down to it and whatever she's working on she's putting the name AS out there. She's not a good singer or dancer at all but at least she's contributing more to the group than Jooyeon.

I get Dara gets a lot of crap but lets not forget how she slays come baby bay come come baby in come back home. And Bom hasn't been messing up as bad. Yoona is necessary for SNSD, she is a visual along with Hyoyeon and Sooyoung its those three that caught my attention.The only useless idol I can think of would have to be Soohee unfortunately.

I wasn't lying when I said there isn't a useless member in SHINee though, all stanning aside. 4 out of 5 have solid vocals and Minho is a good rapper and writes a good amount of his raps, at least as much as SM will give him. They all can dance effortlessly on stage and Jonghyun and Onew are good at belting and Taemin and Key aren't too bad when they give it a try. All round thumbs up.
