What impressed me about this album: while every song tells a different story and the album is indeed a bit of every genre it remains cohesive. The songs are sad in nature but still sound uplifting. Talent did that.

Wonder how much the $3.99 is helping. Guessing a lot of people who may have been on the fence are buying it because of that. Whether or not Gaga will get panned for it, the discount was a fantastic idea. SNL should also sustain these positions until early next week. 150k debut could be possible now.

Just finished watching last night's concert and it was amazing.

I am finding a million new things about myself, what I want and who I want to be but most importantly, I have actually found a place to put so much pain and anguish that I have nowhere to put. You can put it in your music but that’s not always what people want from me in my music... They want a sweet, delightful, "Just Dance" kind of girl or they want "Bad Romance" and that's fine... I am happy to give people that but maybe with my song "Dope" or some of the things I did on ARTPOP you saw a kind of dark side, wrapped up in colors. But maybe that was not always what people want to see. They want to see the perfection... it's the imperfection that is the win.

Gaga and Ronson serve as Joanne's executive producers. The two had previously grown up within blocks of one another on New York's Upper East Side, and had collaborated on Wale's song "Chillin" (2009). They reunited in late 2015, when Gaga presented the song "Angel Down" to Ronson at a London studio. Later, the duo worked for six months in Rick Rubin's Shangri-La recording studio in Malibu, while Rubin was between projects. On Gaga and Ronson's first day at Shangri-La, they wrote the song "Joanne", and Ronson encouraged Gaga to write lyrics about "whatever was happening in her life or on her mind."

Once "A-Yo" is performed at the Super Bowl I can see it being a huge hit if it's actually gonna be a single. She better perform at the AMA's and The Voice or something.

Honestly, she/they did NOT pick the best single for the first single. They picked the SAFEST and most radio friendly one (in my opinion).

It did not resognate w/the GP - so if I were to do a re-do - it would go -

1. Diamond Heart (grows more-even better w/continued listens)
2. Dancin' In Circles (Alejandro Part 2 meets what Ace of Base would put out if they still were making singles now) (favorite song on the album, and I feel its the most RADIO friendly, over Perfect IllusioN)
3. Angel Down (w/her putting two versions on the album, im thinking this WILL be a single this era)
4. Perfect Illusion
5. A-Yo or John Wayne

I'm sorry - maybe I need more listens, but Hey Girl is one of my LEAST favorite tracks on Joanne!
