What are you even talking about, Altidor bb? Before her pregnancy her songwriting was like her favorite subject
Edit: Wait, you mean like, why didn't she write more for other people, too? Well, I guess that's because writing songs has always been a very personal thing for her to do, something that freed her. Personally I am glad she didn't write for other artists because then there would be too many bittersweet "Where Are You, Christmas?" moments ...
Well she was the best person for the type of songs she writes and for a big part of her career the one most likely to make them smash. Also, getting royalties for singing+songwriting>>songwriting only, so I would say that she did capitalize a lot from them.
I am glad she did Touch My Body on her own. It was cute, goofy and a #1. She could have sold the Charmy and Glitter material to JLO though. Other than that, see what Sissy said.
I want Mariah's next album to sound like it came straight out of the 90's. Like real old school, soulful r & b. No radio friendly beats. And I want HARMONIES

Don't get me wrong, I love Touch my Body but the lyrics were
I just feel like songwriting for other artists would have been a great addition to her legacy.
She definitely could have sold some tracks from her breakdown era to other girls. And some E=MC2 songs

I would hate for that to happen. If one of the songs she gave away had become a hit, I'd be eternally pressed, like the time when Christina gave Kelly Clarkson the most iconic hit of her career

Really? I thought "Since U Been Gone" was written by Kelly herself.
And don't try it with BOY, cause Miss Aguileradependent was bigger
Nope! "A Moment Like This/Before Your Love", "Because of You", "Breakaway", "Behind These Hazel Eyes", "Never Again", "My Life Would Suck Without You", and "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)" all sold better and charted better.

I want half the album to have radio friendly beats because I stan for success
