I was really surprised that she didn't make any case or even adressed the subject. Taking the high road is noble but I think it would really help is she had a strong, even if a big vague response. Bur again, you can really tell it's a difficult subject for her

Yeah, it's slightly worrying she just moved off the topic completely.

Trump is probably too big a fool to actually push her to answer in the third debate, but if a moderator did I really hope she has some form of answer lined up.

There was nothing she could have said that they wouldn't have used against her.

But since she didn't address it, the media is basically moving on. The stunt failed.

Sure, but i don't think that's his primary angle. His whole spiel is that Hillary embarrassed these victims in some way (I was like 4 years old back then so idk or care to research) so she's not genuine about her support for sexual assault victims.

But like someone said, it's not going to work. It was too far back and she didn't benefit from the affair.

But I mean at the end of the day she's gotten through the first 3 hours of debating with a clear win and a narrow win/tie.

Even if she's grinds out a narrow loss/tie in the 3rd debate thats still not going to impact her numbers. And with less than a month to go, she just needs to keep her eye on the prize and she'll be the 45th.

Actually he is opposed. He said it should be decided at a state level, the same thing he said about gay marriage, which is basically a cop out to let states individually oppose it.

He also questioned whether trans rights were the same as human rights as "it's a very small percentage" and said the only reason they should use normal bathrooms is because it's too expensive to create gender neutral ones.

I mean, that's kind of the best you're going to get from Donald. If he said gender-neutral bathrooms should be created Republicans would drop him like a hot potato.

He's definitely much less anti-LGBT than a lot of previous Republican candidates, and a good chunk of his competition from earlier this year.

Boosting his popularity within his base is not really a victory. He needs to win the niches he's losing, and this kind of attack doesn't work with them.

I sincerely wish Hillary could look at Trump in the eye in one of these debates and ask him:

"Do you think I won anything when my husband cheated on me? Do you think i reaped any benefits or advanced my career and marriage? No. But I took it and I grew and I learned. It made me stronger."
