There's no doubt that Dr Luke is probably ten times worse than Butch. I mean, I still feel like Butch is just a bitter flop with a bad attitude, but Luke sounds like he might be the spawn of the devil.
Off the top of my head, a list of people who worked with him briefly only to stop after:
- Avril
- Pink
- Kelly Clarkson
- The Veronicas
- Fifth Harmony
The latter three all spoke up in support of #FreeKesha just YESTERDAY. Kelly Clarkson said she literally could not think of one nice thing to say about Luke.
- Britney didn't even ring him up for her last album, which is strange considering all his contributions in the past.
- Zara Larsson (an artist who's just had a hit song in the UK) is signed to his label and STILL tweeted about supporting Kesha.
- Sky Ferreira tweeted a long time ago about how he ruins lives.
He has a long history of making people uncomfortable in one way or another. He's also proven to be a nasty, vindictive person. After Kelly refused to work with him for My December, he used to publicly mock her on a forum he was a member of. When the news first broke out about Kesha's legal battle, he sent her a lawsuit with a sticker for a roasted chicken company slapped on it - ridiculing her eating disorder.
Isn't it surprising how despite being SO well known and well connected in the industry, not even ONE artist - irrelevant or otherwise - has spoken up for him? And I mean they don't need to call Kesha a liar to do that. A simple tweet that expressed neutrality even.
But not one person has. Every musician that's spoken up on this has been in support of Kesha, or at least in support of her being freed from her current label for her own well-being.
