To the industry, yes, not to the everyday person. And even in the industry, half of them think a Daytime Emmy Award doesn't even count as an Emmy (which is ********).
TV as a medium is growing faster than any of the other three and, thus, the Emmys will continue to stay important and gain relevancy. Besides, I've never heard anyone consider them not prestigious anyway so..
