Gaga's brand IS her business. If she didn't cancel the deal and put her money where her mouth is, she would have been deemed a phony (more so than people already claim). It was a smart decision.

I don't think anyone would've noticed it (I don't remember there being any complaint about her doing that Target deal) but even if they did, cancelling such an amazing opportunity like that just because they don't think like her is just

She could've donated the Target proceeds to some LGBT rights organization or something if she felt that bad about it. It was a dumb move imo
Also that mentality that collaborators must abide to your rules is really limiting. By that logic she can't work with DJWS since she's all #OnlineKindness now, or with R. Kelly because working with him would say she supports sex with underage. Best worry just about yourself and let others do what they want (with their life)
