Yes the multimillion selling games that get A+s and 9s across the board and that EVERYONE pays attention to while the shows ratings were in steady decline before the release of Best Wishes. As always, Iris stays winning.

But Iris was only the champion in the games, not in the Anime so how can she ride Ash's coat tails when isn't relevant to the games.
Dawn and May are able to be playable characters in the games and become Champion is chosen. Meanwhile in the Anime they remain having the only relevant goals instead of trying and failing to train Dragon Pokemon.
