I downloaded all of AKB48's albums and am now listening to all of the songs.
I feel like I want to like them as a group.
A bit of a mistake. They're really a singles act. You should check out some of their singles since for the most part their A-sides and B-sides >>>>>>>> album tracks.
Was Perfume the #1 girl group in Japan at one point? Maybe between the time when Morning Musume was falling off an AKB48 was rising?
I don't think so... I was really shocked recently when I took a look at Perfume's sales and all of their albums sold 200-300k. I would've thought they'd be 500k at least
JASLEGEND her new single sounds perfect, can't wait for it + the new album
I'm glad she's going a more broad direction, but I miss the innovative artist that gave me "Koi" and "L.I.P.S.". Although, "High Flying" is a straight bop, "Hero" might be too. Can't wait to hear the rest as well.
JAPONESQUE tour is getting aired on WOWOW at the end of summer, so we have that to look forward to.
Taku is producing for like everyone now (JASMINE, Minmi, Che'nelle), Kyary got a #1 album, the non-AKB but still-48 groups are improving, Namie has an album coming out, BiS is more popular than ever, Miyavi is getting on TV programs...
dare I say this is one of the better times for the j-pop industry lately, despite the fact that Ayu has sort of fallen, Utada is still on hiatus and hallyu basically stopped?

It's been good since like last year. I think people are only starting to realize it now though
