Okay, first of all... "Alive" is PHENOMENAL. It's so good. I can't even tell you.

It's so beautiful. It sounds more like a Sia song than an Adele song, but that being said, it's obvious that the production was changed to fit Sia's style more. I can't imagine Adele singing this; I don't know that she'd even want to record something like this because it's very challenging vocally, and as it is, she lowers the key of "Rolling in the Deep" when she sings it live. Not that she couldn't sing it, but it's a little out of her comfort zone. Regardless, if this was cut from
25, I can't even imagine how good the songs that made the cut will be. This is awesome. And apparently Tobias Jesso, Jr. also co-wrote the song!
As for the album title confirmation, I'm thrilled about this.
25 is a good title. She should do the age thing with this album and then be done with it. Like someone (I think Ichinaru) said, it's an interesting concept because her first album dealt with her first love/heartbreak, her second album dealt with the most important love of her life and arguably the climax of her love life, and the third album is the resolution, when she finally finds the one that makes her happy and ends her heartbreak. It can be like a trilogy. But after this album, she needs to move on from the age thing. Plus,
25 is a much better title than
26 or
27. But I figured she'd stick with
25 because that was the age when she wrote a lot of the album and when she had Angelo.
And her label can deny the November 20 release date all they want, but it's already out.
Billboard announced it was coming in November and then Hits Daily Double gave us the release date and plans. They're extremely reputable and they've never been wrong before. Besides, November 20 is an extremely logical date because she can get Black Friday sales the following Friday in addition to her huge first week numbers. I'm a little disappointed the single is coming so close to the album, though; I was really hoping she'd drop it on September 30 so it would make the Grammy deadline and leave the other pop girls seething.
