It isn't scary. All it means is that she wanted to use different lyrics on the chorus, but the executives of her label or Luke or whoever else had the last word on that disagreed with her and insisted on Nate Ruess' version of the chorus. So they "forced her" to use his lyrics.
That's not scary, it's just unfortunate now in hindsight. She was right when she asked not to use these lyrics. Maybe she had a funny feeling about it. She DOES wear her placenta in a necklace to gain second sight after all, right?
