Wait, 'Alive' SLAYS. If Adele rejected this song - it either means that the song doesn't fit in with the rest of '25' as a whole, or she's got a MUCH stronger choice for first single.

And as for this magazine cover - I wouldn't be surprised if it's Vogue - from what we've heard about the promo thus far this era (the prime-time special etc), her team are going all-out this time.

Oh I didn't realise Alive was out already!It's a Chandelier kind of smash tbh.The second half of the songs is just breathtaking.I smell awards here...
BUT I kinda understand why Adele didn't record it herself,I don't really see her singing it.

I said it in the official thread but my only problem with it is the repetitive chorus.

And it does sound like a typical Sia song (which is why I like it so much) but I do feel like it's more of a Sia song than an Adele song.

really? i can totally imagine Adele in this, i would love to hear Adele version of the last 1:30 minutes, i like Sia's voice but those minutes with Adele's voice

I have a high opinion of Sia,I respect her and even like her,but let's be honest...The song,even if I love it,is not really at the level Adele got us used to.And also it wouldn't fit her vocal style.
But I couldn't imagine a better comeback for Sia,this song just needs her voice!I'm very happy for her,it's gonna do well!

I agree quite a bit with what's been said previously, content and production-wise it absolutely sounds like a Sia song. I think some technical stuff would've favored Adele more...her voice would be more smooth through the "I'm Alive" part of the chorus, and also the flow of that last 1:30 is very Adele-y.

I like it and i dont. Libe it as a Sia song i can imagine it a bit different so it will suit Adele more. The thing i dont like is the chorus but i feel like its gonna be a grower. Lets see if Adele will tweet something to promote the song ... doubt it.

OMG I cant believe Alive is finally here, even though it sounds more suited to Sia's voice I could hear Adele's voice on this especially the end of the song. Her album must be on steroids since this was rejected which excites me even more. I'm gonna promote Adeles album in the salon I work in everyday, 500+ clients are gonna hear it and it's going to spread like fire. 😁
