I picked some more personal, intimate songs, one real out-there song (at least if you're someone who only has the big iconic hits to go on), and a real good knocker.
1. Basically any Like A Prayer album track to show that she had lyrical depth even in the 80s
2. Where Life Begins or Human Nature to exhibit Sexdonna and her sense of humor
3. Impressive Instant or Isaac to show that even when she does dance music, it isn't necessarily conventional
4. Drowned World / Substitute for Love because #Perfection
5. Keep It Together or Survival because they are two of my favorite Madonna songs
4 & 5 are my most tried and true because usually when people hear DWSFL they at least acknowledge that maybe they don't know enough about Madonna to blanket hate on her. And a few of my friends really loved Keep It Together when I stuck it on the playlist for an 80s party and I know at least one still uses it.

I thought it was important to represent each decade yet I wanted to get Gone on there somewhere too.
I know IGA is an out-there choice but it's an accurate reflection of where's she's at this decade without showing too much mess - I'm looking @ you, Unapologetic Bitch. And it's a bop so who cares?
I have yet to get into 80's Madonna music. Besides singles, all of the other songs sound like fillers
I listened to True Blue once full, and tried with Like A Prayer... not here for that old production melody beat mess
but probably the same thing will be a Madonna stan who will grew with her 2020's music and will try getting into 2000's discography and try listening thru whole Music and American Life album with those old eletronica sounding beats and stuff

It's gonna take a while sis. I started stanning in 2006 but didn't really get into her 80's albums till 2012 I feel like as I get older I become more tolerant to the dated 80's sound...
and Like A Prayer is now my all-time favorite record.
