Jafar was fine in OUAT in Wonderland, but I only want him back for them to resolve some of the loose ends of that show. But seeing how they handled Will Scarlet I kind of doubt that will ever happen.
The problem with a final season is they'll want to really go out with a bang and I don't know how they could top themselves tbh. The threat of the real world discovering magic and that leading to them going back the Enchanted forest after a bit could be a fun way to end it. Does anyone else think next season might be the last one? It is still doing well, but it isn't a runaway success anymore and it is hardly low budget.
Also so excited for Hercules since that is my favorite Disney movie. Meg better not be lame and she better have some snark. The actress isn't getting my hopes up though.

I think that the idea of a villain who is not magical like the US Government would be really cool and a breath of fresh air from other magical villains.

Ehh, they kind of did that with season 2 and imo really wasn't the best, probably the worst thing about S2.

So are Ruby and Mulan meant to be the gay couple they promised because that'd be such a waste if all that amounts to is them 'promising'. They even made Mulan dodge every pronoun. Like I get it's Disney but .. come on..
The Merida episode was such a tragic follow up that I could've done without. But that might just be because I find that character extremely boring for some reason.
I laughed my ass off at the random ass Ruby flashback. So after every catastrophe they've had and lost between world's messes, Ruby had a magic bean just stashed away .. just in case.. And no one in storybrooke wanted to go with her? Did granny really value her diner that much to leave the granddaughter she's pledged her daughter to protect? A mess.
The jump cut between Snow giving that speech and then within seconds handing off that baby and going to have a chat with Ruby. It would've worked better I think if they had that scene with Granny instead. I'm just mad that Mulan and Ruby are the character that've been shipped off to god knows where while we are still stuck with Grumpy who for some reason they seem convinced provides adequate comic relief.
Now for the actual good episode, the Dr. Whale snark was the best I've head. Why the hell was he blonde? I need more of him in my life. I wanted him to make fun of David for having slept with Snow too.
So Hook is also .. half.. a .. dark one.. or whatever.. Why did he get absolutely none of the symptoms that Emma did? Because he didn't know?
So you're telling me if someone just erased the memory of having ever gotten the power from Emma or Rumple then they wouldn't ever have to deal with the evils of the dark magic?
Emma healed him once, and that lasted a long enough while for him to get up and start walking around for a few hours. If they're meant to be together forever why doesn't she just do that once a day. I hope they find a way to explain this, or at least get rid of whatever magic he gets because I'm really not here for Hook the magic user.
I'm assuming that she'll end up cutting the magic from him, killing him and presto we're off to the underworld story arc.
And couldn't she just enact this spell using like a puppy from the pound or something? Or kill off the true source of evil.. the Blue Fairy...
Hell you've got like 16 ex evil people walking around your town just grab one of them that no one suspects or cares about.
I can't say I'm too excited for another baby to dull the edges off of another female character.

Dr Whale and his iZombie hair
I'm so glad Mulan is back, but her voice got so high pitch and girly, despite being "depressed" she seems chirpier than she has even been during her entire appearance throughout the season.
Glad to see Ruby too, and looking hotter than ever, hope she sticks around
But overall, leaving the first episode with that cliff hanger then moving onto a Merida episode was so disruptive. Any other day the Merida episode alone would have been decent, but it just pales in comparison as a follow up

I have to agree with you. For a LGBT story it was so indirect that it might has well not been included. And I can't with them just randomly bringing back Mulan and Red in the same episode. I love both characters but no doubt was it random.
As for Hook, I don't get why he doesn't have side effects either. Why has Emma changed apppearances but he hasn't? She has magic but how come he doesn't?
And for me it is so bothersome that Hook is mad with Emma. It makes no sense. He was seriously fine the day before, but now that he knows there is sudenly a problem. She didn't tell him to protect him. He should be more understanding than that towards her. Also not Emma just turning completely dark in order to save Hook . If that were the case, I would have rather Emma turn evil the episode before watching her crush Merlin's heart. This was just an anticlimatic way for her to transition.
In general why is so little being given to the other characters? Zelena is the only one doing something unique outside of Hook and Emma. I hope the second half of the season gives a plot to their other characters.

Hook didn't have side effects because Emma had the sword he was tethered to. So she probably controlled him from the beginning without his direct knowledge since she took his memory. I'm sure she also took his heart for the curse. So that may have something to do with it. It could have also been written into the curse. Like how she was written into it to be the savior.
Also, Adam and Eddy said that the LGBT storyline would happen like any other "true love" storyline or whatever. So this wasn't it for the storyline. They made it sound like we would see it in the second half.
Also, it's been said before that no one can truly love without their heart. So that would explain why true love's kiss didn't break the curse when Hook kissed Emma. Also probably because they were both involved in it. I hope we get to see a flashback of Hook being dark in Camelot.

There better be a full and fleshed out LGBT couple/storyline or so help me god I'll.. start a petition or something
Yeah that Captain Hook storyline just doesn't make sense thus far about why he didnt realise or show any signs. Until they explain why he's shown no effects of darkness or magic I'm going to stay salty for the next two weeks.
True love's kiss didn't work to break the curse because Regina is Emma's true love.
Fight me.

WOW.
I just watched "Birth" and haven't watched the second one yet, and I am AMAZED by the episode. I knew that Killian was tethered to Excalibur, but I didn't know that made him the Dark One!!! I am not a huge fan of Captain Swan, but I do love Emma a lot and Killian is a huge part of her world, so I found myself almost in tears as she was saving his life.
I'm excited to watch "The Bear King" now--I wonder if there'll be more than just Merida, Mulan, and Ruby. I love them, of course, but I can't wait to see what happens next with Emma and Killian.

I wish they went a different direction with Emma's dark one but regardless great episode. Hook in my opinion is being so dramatic and stupid. He was fine before he knew he was a dark one too but now that he knows, he is angry. Emma saved your life you damn fool, be grateful and shut up. So what if you're a dark one now, it's not like she gave you herpes. Don't get what he is being all dramatic about. Also if he was a Dark One why doesn't he have magic or look different?

The answer to ALL of your questions is because Killian already was struggling to fend off the darkness inside him. Now he knows he's lost for good.

Another thing that I forgot to mention is about the birth of this baby. This has to be one of the worst things right now on the show. It's so strange to think that Regina's sister and Regina's boyfriend just had a baby together. I will say however, the baby that the show used was precious. She was adorable.
Now that Zelena has her bracelet off, she going to get her baby back. I have no doubt she is going to take that child and go. I love Zelena so much (with the exception of this baby mess), she is hilarious and so entertaining. Rebecca was perfect playing this crazy ass role.

Birth was amazing, it leaves me impatient. Now watching the Bear King, I hope it is not as dissapointing/filler as I read on other forums

I think it's obvious they didn't plan to have a double episode and randomly just slid the two episodes together. I can't see them logically thinking it was a good follow up

Yes that second episode was random, I thought this storyline was for later, like the second half of the season and after that first episode it was kinda weird, but I thought it was a cute episode. A bit boring, but not that bad, there are worse episodes. Haven't seen the promo for the next episode, so I will do that, before I really get confused about where Eddy and Adam are going.
Edit: Ok the promo seems good.
It will follow directly after the first episode of last night and will deal with Hook wanting to take revenge on Gold. Anyway the theory which I see the most, is that Hook will probably kill himself with Excalibur, to free Emma and him from the darkness, and so Emma and co. will have to get Hook back from the Underworld. So not really different, but instead of Hook being killed, he will kill himself. This is in line with the BTS pics of Emma being 'normal' again after the midseason finale

The Merida episode was boring and unnecessary.

MESS I watched the 2nd episode thinking that was the only one they showed this week.
I could've done without it, Merida is just not that interesting although I liked seeing Mulan and Ruby again.
EDIT: Just watched the first one, great episode.
That twist.
I'm so mad we have to wait 2 weeks for the next one, the 2nd episode was such a waste of time.
