I will say, the Mug/Vika match was very exciting Tennis - I hope those two face off again this year.
Do you think Serena will be able to turn this season around? Sure, it's a big accomplishment for anyone on tour to Final in both Australia and Indian Wells, but we're so used to her snatching titles. We're all looking to see her snatch a few more in her career....can she rebound this season for the remaining slams and for the Olympics?
Serena's best surface these days is clay, so I expect her to make some runs at the tune-ups. But as I said earlier this year, Serena's career is dead! At least in the sense of winning grand slams. She'll still qualify for the YEC, though.
I like and follow both tours but prefer the WTA. More personalities, more drama >>>
I can assure that I'm neither a little girl or in possession of a micropenis.
Exactly ATP is boring, Djokovic is annoying, same for Nadal and Murray. Monfils is a troll, Ferderer is old.
I only like Wawrinka, Raonic, Paire, Tsonga.

Federer is clinging on and could easily win a slam if he gets lucky with the draw, it will be a big loss to the game when he retires. He has so many stans. Novak is pleasant to watch but metronomic, the definition of unexciting.
The male top 20 outside of the big 3 or 4 is BAD. Compared directly with the WTA top 20, there is a clear winner tbh.
I follow both, but ATP is never exciting nowadays. Djokovic making every final and winning with ease, sometimes there's Federer or Murray to take a set off of him but that's it. Yeah WTA is messy, but at least the top players can play competitive matches from time to time like Vika/Garbine did yesterday.

I agree that Serena is very clearly on decline. But the fact that she's made two finals this year suggests that she can win a couple of more slams. It depends how much work she puts in. We've seen her turn around these kind of seasons before. The question is, is she motivated and does she even care anymore?
I think it's too early to say Serena is on the decline, she can very well bounce back from this. She's always had her 'off' periods and this is just one of them.
Hantuchova (If you guys still know her ) is playing her first ITF event since 2000. I always find it awkward to see how hard you can fall back in tennis! I really liked her and she is so flawless.

I think these comments are spot on - I mean, let's have a little perspective here - it's amazing that we're calling someone making the finals in 3 of her last 4 tournaments (including 2 slams) as "decline." Let's see if she can pull it out this season and surprise us...Roland Garros coming up.
I'll be curious to see if Vika wins Miami too and goes into French Open w/ momentum though
