We always try to discuss things when we can - we try to take into account the full context of the situation and the exact limitations and scope of the rule, always.

And I know that you weren't accusing anyone personally, I just feel uncomfortable with any sort of ambiguity as to how I feel about all of this. I've only been acting as I believe I'm expected to by the other moderators; how I feel the whole team would decide in majority. I've been trying to defend that in my typically disjointed and unfocused manner, but there's nothing personal about it.

Anyway, again, we do discuss these sorts of policies as well as specific incidents.

Alright, I get where you're coming from - believe me when I say I realize that society is incredibly sexist and oppressive toward women, though I don't claim to understand what it's like for them at all - but we can't really change that. It's not up to us mods to fix those sorts of problems, you know? I'm sure we all would if we could, especially moderators like Katie as I know she feels strongly about these issues. We just can't change it ourselves and for the sake of avatars on ATRL. If it was a question of ATRL being overly strict with a separate policy for each sex, that would of course be entirely different and wrong of us.
