She also received criticism when she tweeted a link to a YouTube playlist containing the "Applause" video on a 9-hour loop.[50][51][52] The tweet provoked critism by Billboard's Editorial Director Bill Werde, who said "An artist tweeting out and Facebooking a link that enables a fan to hit play and leave their computer is not in the spirit of what we chart".[53] He added that he "hate[d] to see anyone try to game the charts, be it fans or artists. It's not in the spirit of what we do, celebrating success."[50]
#8 - ARTPOP (peaked at #1, available since 3.5 weeks)
#9 - PRISM (peaked at #2, available since 2 weeks)
Poor Katy. Forever a singles artist (and not even a truly global one like David Guetta at that)
the Kats have been getting a little cocky thinking that PRISM will outsell ARTPOP lol, they need to remember that their fave is just a singles artist and nothing more she will never touch Gaga's album sales and touring gross.
Katy's albums are so timeless but also slightly ahead of their time, strange. I'm sure that Teenage Dream will start selling a million yearly in a couple of years from now.
