She's actually 21, which makes it worse
Like you can literally tell that her childhood was marked by Backstreet boys and the likes instead of Biggie records
Are you pointing out how Marina, Kesha, and Ciara have all had a career that eclipses Zendaya's weed & patchouli oil smelling existence? Am not understanding.
Her music wasn't promoted during her first era, her label didn't allow her to create the music she wanted to make, it was a mess of an era and it flopped for a reason. But she has everything she needs to happen this time around.

Ellen DeGeneres and The Today Show plus 106&Park isn't promo?
The industry did try to make Replay happen. It was a bad song so it failed. Zendaya is pretty talented but she's kind of like the dollar store version of Ciara whenever she performs. Yeah, don't see it for her.
Ellen DeGeneres and The Today Show plus 106&Park isn't promo?
The single was released on July 16th. The video was released in late August. The first performance aired in September, which is two months after the release. The song was only sent to the radios in October and only to Pop when it could've done better on Rhythmic format. The Today Show performance happened in November and it was a mess because they only allowed her to perform for a minute or so and only acoustically. Nobody was watching 106 & Park at that time anyways, so... And throughout this mismanaged promotional campaign, Replay still managed to stay stable in Top 100 on iTunes, constantly reach and drop out of Top 30 on iTunes.
Replay would've peaked in Top 20 if the promotion was handled in the right way and NOT so messy. It still sold 1M+ and was certified Platinum, which is good for a debut single that wasn't correctly promoted.

I heard California Gurls playing in a store this morning and it occurred to me how disgusting Katy's tone is? Like I'm physically grossed out how can people willingly listen to that
