The third eye bit has nothing to do with the Illuminati. The song itself is filled with references to Hinduism and the music of India (hence the sitar accompaniment)
The only problem with "Legendary Lovers" is that the word "legendary" might be too long to make a chorus out of. I know that's why a lot of my friends didn't connect to "Unconditionally" - they thought it sounded awkward
