Streaming boost is guaranteed and sales boost with even a half decent performance still happens. What's more people are more likely to buy a song if they have more visual aids for it. That is the whole reason the "video effect" exists not to mention when millions tune in to watch, millions find out about the songs existence. I am certain if Britney performed WB on BBMAs or VMAs it would at least give enough push to have been Platinum.
