Christina performs at Eurovision 2015 held in Austria
+ a special cover of Lena's Satellite

Yesterday, Christina Aguilera travelled all the way to Vienna which is the capital city of Austria where Eurovision 2015 is currently being held. This comes after Conchita Wurst's infamous win - otherwise known as "the bearded lady" - who was Austria's candidate for last year's Eurovision and eventually won after being the dark horse and underdog throughout most of the competition. But anyways, Christina performed a selection of songs from her 2015 release and 8th studio album - Truth Pill - which included her third single. In addition, she also performed a special cover version of Lena Meyer-Landrut's (or just Lena) Satellite which was Germany's winning entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 which was held all the way in Oslo; the capital city of Norway. It's become apparant that Christina had reached out to Lena before travelling to Vienna for the mini setlist just to check if it was okay with the German musician and they have actually become quite good friends after hanging out with each other for a little while since Lena is now promoting in America for her own upcoming era. Christina told us over a phone call: "Yeah, Lena's a sweetheart! She definitely sticks to her own distinct style and is not afraid of breaking the mould so to speak which is, of course, a trait I admire and respect wholeheartedly in a person especially in women such as ourselves who are constantly being told to act a certain way to please society's unrealistic standards. I hope to work with Lena in the future soon soon. That's girl a super superstar!" We'd definitely like to see that happening sometime soon.
Christina performed up to a total of 5 tracks (excluding the very special cover of Lena's Satellite) which were: Amethyst Bleach, Sour Grapes, Chinese Whispers, The Apple of My Eye and Karmasutra. It's been reported that Christina Aguilera were called up by the Austrian organisation and Eurovision officials who are actually behind the event this year to perform during the "halftime" section of the show where all the votes from various countries are tallied in and to also give everyone a bit of relief after each entry has had their turn. This move was made since Christina has been exceptionally popular over there in Austria which is a great move on Christina's part in reconneting with her millions of European fans and raise her profile in Europe overall, especially in European countries (like France, for example) who don't take particularly well to Christina Aguilera in the first place. The crowd at Eurovision 2015 roared at the sight of Christina and they were heavily engaged throughout her performance. It seems as though she has garnered a lot of supporters since her lead single - Waves - became an international hit. Her appearance and performance on Euroviosion 2015 in Austria will only ever do more good than bad. Especially when taking into consideration that she had no wardrobe malfunctions last night!
It's been confirmed by Eurovision officials themselves that it took a total of 5 days for everything to be set up. Multiple sound checks and dress rehearsals were done with Christina there and sometimes without, alongside the entries too. In actual fact, Christina met most of those who performed last night representing their each respective country backstage and took many selfies that were eventually uploaded onto social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram. This was where we originally learnt of Christina partaking in such a colossal event and spectacle as this year's Eurovision since it's a pretty huge deal in Europe and has a large cult following who are very meticulous when it comes to each entry and their strengths and weaknesses.
Furthermore, Conchita Wurst - transsexual winner of last year's Eurovision - has cited Christina as her main inspiration/influence ever since she started rising in popularity (or rising like a phoenix) when she debuted her new "bearded" look. It's been said that Conchita was extremely excited about Christina performing in her motherland of Austria, of all places and hopes to meet her in the future soon. Christina hasn't responded back to Conchita as of yet although Christina's reps did claim that "something's in the works" so that's definitely something to look forward to!

Lena on Sunday Brunch
WORD COUNT: 870
It's a really busy week for German singer and songwriter Lena Meyer-Landrut who is trying to break out into the mainstream music industry - she's been all over the place promoting her brand new single Trouble, which was produced by hitmakers Max Martin and Eg White. The singer has been staying in United Kingdom for the past few days where she is currently promoting her single, and then she will fly back to Germany to appear at the ECHO Awards because she's nominated for two things this year - Best National Rock/Pop Artist and Radio-Echo awards, and after appearing at ECHOs, Lena will be flying out to United States, where she's going to make her first ever American TV debut on The Voice. But as of now, she's currently focusing on United Kingdom, where her new single Trouble is really making some headlines because the song is climbing the charts really fast as it's somewhere in the Top 3 right now and is predicted to rise even higher after Lena completes her UK promotional tour. Next thing that is marked on Lena's promotional campaign in United Kingdom is Sunday Brunch, and although that show only airs on Sundays, but it always gets pretaped few days earlier, since the show never airs live. Lena stopped by the ITV studios to film her performance of her new song and to also have a quick interview. Lena showed up pretty early at the studios, but she almost made it on time to the pretaping, because a lot of her old and new fans who are really dedicated to her showed up right at the ITV studios and waited for a whole hour for Lena to arrive. Because Lena is a real sweetheart and she cares about every single fan of hers just because she thinks that the fans are the reason why she gets all of the chances that she gets in life, for example, to release her music outside Germany and do promotion all over the world, so that's why she stopped by a decent group of her fans and interacted with every single person in that group - she hugged every single fan, she kissed them on cheeks, signed their posters and CDs that they bought and shipped over from Germany, took pictures with them and listened to whatever they had to say. Lena is probably one of the smartest business girls as well in the music industry, because she knows how to sell her singles and her albums, and they key is not the promotion - although it's one of the things that you have to do to succeed - but it's also the fact that you have to create your fans, and the best way to do that is to connect with them, always keep in touch and interact once you see them waiting for you on the streets by the studio or whatever. Lena knows how to succeed on the charts and how to sell her material, and that is exactly what she has been doing lately by always stopping to talk with her fans no matter if she has a headache or if she had a long and challenging concert, but she still always stops by them and talks with them.
On the Sunday Brunch, Lena had two appearances, the first one was when she had to cook a bake with the chef of the show who helped her to do so, or maybe it was Lena who was helping the chef of that show to bake that cake, but either way, yeah, she had to make a cake and she actually succeeded during the process of baking. While she was helping one of the hosts to bake that cake, she was also being interviewed by another host who stayed with both of them in the kitchen and kept the discussion going. They talked a lot about Lena's mission in the music industry and the things that she wants to achieve by trying to break out in the industry, they talked about her upcoming album and her new Max Martin and Eg White produced single, they also talked about her cooking and baking skills that turned out to be great because Lena knew exactly what she needed to do, she didn't need the other host who was a chef as well to order Lena what to do or where to put the things, and Lena confessed that she loves cooking and baking and whenever she gets some free time, she always tries to bake or cook something interesting. She explained her passion for cooking: "The main reason why I love to cook, or, let's say, bake, is because it's such a relaxing thing, whenever I'm cooking or whenever I'm doing anything with food, I can just get my mind of something, if I have problems or anxiety then the process of cooking allows me to let it all go, forget it all for a moment and just enjoy the thing that I love, which is basically cooking." Later during the show, Lena sat down with one of her guitarists who also performs with her during all of her performances, and they performed an acoustic version of Lena's brand new single Trouble.

NATALIA KILLS ON PBS’ GREAT PERFORMANCES. Talks + performs “Coven de Couture”, “Whirlwind”, “Eyes Shut”, “Sirens”, and “War, Lies, Love, Money.”
1932 words

She’s already being touted by many as arguably the “Best Female Singer in CAL”. Others say she’s either “Top 3″ or “Top 5″. Whatever position she occupies on your list, one thing’s certain… Natalia Kills is very talented! With that in mind, we present to you Natalia Kills, our next guest here on Great Performers.
**Natalia Kills’ Coven de Couture plays as she walks out**
Please, give our Great Performers visitors a brief background of yourself.
I’m Natalia Cappucinni better known as Natalia Kills and I’m from the UK. I come from a simple family that’s structured and bound by the simple things of life. I’m a singer/entertainer, make-up artist, fashion designer and creative writer. I enjoy what I do and I’m most times preoccupied with one project or the other.
When did you realize that you could sing, and how did you get into the singing game?
I was pretty much stuck on music growing up. My family is one of music lovers; all genres. So I grew up listening to all kinds of music. For some reason, I was very drawn to the Hip-hop/Sing Culture and next thing you know, I’m dubbing my favorite tunes over every tape I could find in the house. So it started from a Play-Rewind-Fast-forward sequence just to get the lyrics so I could sing along, to writing a bit of this and that. I was stuck on Hip-hop music. But after I listened to Eminem’s “Marshall Matters LP”, I said to myself “Yo! I want to sing” – and fast forward to today, I’m here now.
Being a female and a singer in an industry dominated by the males making more local styles of music, how hard has it been for you to get where you are today? What are the challenges you’ve faced thus far, and how are you coping ?
I think being a lady makes it easier. Probably because there aren’t so many women doing this, so the minute you step up as a female in this genre, you get noticed. Getting to this point was by the unending grace of God. I quit a couple of times, dropped my pen and paper and said I was done. But I kept coming back. The beginning was rough, on and off a lot of times. That made music kinda difficult to tackle. I wasn’t getting any support from my folks so I had to take care of everything myself and push push push till someone noticed me. Amazingly there were people around me that just wanted to support me in any way they could; radios, Djs, Blogs/writers… and that really helped. So I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for all those different factors put together.
**Natalia Kills’ “Whirlwind” plays**
Speaking of getting noticed, who can forget your 2013 introduction to Great Performers and the rest of the world?? “War, Lies, Love, Money” wowed everyone (including myself) and you instantly got loads of fans. Tell us about that song, and the impact the online reception had on you personally.
**Laughs** Wow! Jeff Bhasker called me up and he was like hey, I have this new beat I’ve been working on, it was originally for Beyonce but tell me what you think. It was a huge deal for me to work with him cause I had so much respect for his work. As soon as I heard the beat ,the words came pouring out. We got in the studio and I recorded the song as straight as pop comes. No pauses, no double takes, no stress. That’s why the recording sounds the way it does. I sincerely didn’t even expect anyone to like the song but the encouragement from the record label was so amazing I had to put it out. Next thing you know, the fans are crazy for the song and I was pretty much the happiest girl in the world. The video was shot at the end of the year, not just because we needed to put out a video for the song, but also because the director came up with the most brilliant, grimy idea. And guess what?? I jumped on it without thinking twice! Aside the online reception which blew the song over, the fans were just so supportive. It did more for my career than I ever imagined and to think I didn’t even take it serious in the beginning. I’m just grateful to Jeff for letting me have that. It has done so much for me as an artiste.
How does it feel being signed under a record label as powerful as VDK Records and how is VDK as a boss, Jeff as a producer, all of that?
Jeff actually met to work on a totally different project and it turned out we were passionate about each other’s works in vastly different ways. This was a long time ago. At the time, I had several Record Label offers and I was already considering a couple of them. But after my first meeting with VDK, I knew I had to work with him without having to think about it. You’d be surprised what happens when an amazingly creative man like VDK puts his heart and intellectual resources to a project like mine. It’s a blessing to have his company back my music. I’m happy!
Since being signed, you’ve put out a few songs that show different sides of Natalia Kills. “Whirlwind” was a Dancehall tune. You really take us back in time with that song and it’s just absolutely magic. You also released the very heart wrenching “Eyes Shut”. What’s the secret behind your dynamic style?
**Natalia Kills “War, Lies, Love, Money” plays**
Am I allowed to say God? (laughs!) Really, I think that stems from the fact that I am influenced by so many different genres of music. I don’t necessarily say “Oh! I’ll listen to just sing ’cause I’m a singer.” Surprisingly, I listen to everything, Reggae/Dancehall, Rock, Soul, Jazz, Fuji… it reflects in my music and I just try not to go overboard.
Here’s one for the fashionistas. You’re quickly creating an identity with your hairstyle. Is there a name for it?? Like… “The Natalia Kills Hair”??
**Laughs!** My hair is a case. I didn’t think it was such a big deal when I cut it at first. Next thing you know, I have fans cutting their hair like mine and sending me pictures! I’m like so flushed that that even happens at all. Makes the hair feel like such a big deal which it wasn’t before. So, let’s call it the Natalia Kills Hair, shall we?? **Laughs!**
The death of Perez last year came as a shock to the whole CAL music industry. As someone who shared studio-time with him before he passed away, how did it affect you?
I found out about it (Perez’s death) on (the Social Networking site) Twitter. My TimeLine was flooded with tweets about it and I kept retweeting and slamming people saying it wasn’t true. Then I called one of his close friends who confirmed it. I think a part of me went dead. I cried. I still didn’t even believe it until I saw it on TV.
I had the pleasure of working with him, he did an article for me on his blog. That period was officially the first time we met. He was just an awesome guy; very energetic, and very down-to-earth. He called everything as he saw it. I remember every moment with him like it was yesterday. After over a month of his passing, I decided to write a song, record it and just throw it out there. I don’t want to spoon feed you the name of the song so I would let you figure it out yourself. We would never have the joy of having another Perez post, but we are grateful to God for blessing us with him even if it was for a little while.
**Natalia Kills Cast Away plays**
Your new single “Coven de Couture” (Produced by Jeff Bhasker) hit the internet and local radio. It’s getting ever-increasing rave reviews here on PBS and everywhere in general. Tell us about your experience working on that joint with the “very sick” Jeff. So you’re in a cult?
Yes I Am!!! (Laughs) It is one of the really special songs that me and Jeff wrote together. I was with him from the minute he dropped the first kick of the beat and I loved it from start. There’s an amazing connection Jeff makes with an artist and I felt it the minute I met him. Pure genius! It was so easy writing the song, and the hook came out of nowhere. Now this is the truth; when we were done working on it, I loved it. Jeff would purposely turn up the speakers, call everyone that cared to listen into the studio and then dance around, jerking to the song, just so it could ring into my head. Soon enough he played it to DJ David Guetta and I didn’t hear the last of it. Guetta kept calling me up to say I must put the song out. The label approved the release and we premiered it. By the grace of God, I have not rested since! The reviews, the support, the acceptance of the song is so unbelievable! I can’t be more grateful at this point.
**Natalia Kills Coven de Couture plays again**
On the issue of projects, I understand you’re working on releasing your third body of work. What we should we expect from it?
The idea of the new album is coming from the fact that I just really want the fans to have a taste of my music in a way I have never done before. From what I’ve been writing and coming up with in the studio, it’s sounding like a part 2 of The Definition of Bad…but as I said, we are still in the early stages of this new record and the inspiration and sound is still more or less the same…as time progresses, we will see what happens.
Have you and your record label fixed a release date for the new album ?
Nooooo! Hell no, we almost never fix dates for putting out new records, we try as much as possible to make it as organic as possible and give the fans the best thing I can. So no, there’s no fixed date.
7 Things You Don’t Know About Natalia Kills…
One of my favorite albums of all time is any album by Gwen Stefani. I love her soo much
I’m a sucker for food. I love food so much, I eat like a horse
My new found music love is “Imogen Heap”. I currently have her “Goodnight and Go” on replay.
I’m also a pencil artist, apart from sketching the clothes I design, I have been drawing since I was a child. I’m kinda rusty now though.
The first sing song I ever learnt from beginning to end was Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise”. I think I was 7 at the time.
My favorite meal to cook is mac and cheese cuz it’s so basic
My dream stage performance is one with the largest CAL crowd. I don’t think there’d be any love greater than that from an energetic CAL crowd.
Natalia later went to the stage to perform Coven de Couture, Whirlwind, Eyes Shut, Sirens, and War, Lies, Love, Money.

Lena on The Graham Norton Show
WORD COUNT: 820
It's probably one of the busiest week ever for German singer Lena Meyer-Landrut, and it looks like, and it looks like it's not going to end that soon. Lena is currently on a promotional tour in United Kingdom, where is she promoting her brand new single Trouble that was released on January 12th via her new record label Indigo Records, but even though she's going to make her last appearance in UK this week by visiting BBC One's The Graham Norton Show, but her week definitely won't end after her performance on that show. After her performance on the show, Lena will fly back to her home country Germany, where she is scheduled to perform her brand new single on the prestigious ECHO Awards, which are like German Grammys or something. Lena received two nominations this year - Radio-Echo nomination, which is usually given out to the artists that gets played the most on the German radio, and National Rock/Pop Artist, which is usually a tough category every single year and is mostly given out to the artists that really achieved a lot of amazing things throughout the year. And even after her ECHOs appearance Lena won't be able to do anything she wants to do - she will have to travel the world and fly out to United States, where she will continue her promotional tour in order to promote Trouble, and where she is going to appear on many different events and TV shows, including The Voice, where Lena will make her grand American TV debut. But, right now, Lena is finishing up her promotional tour in United Kingdom, and the last stop in this country for Lena is The Graham Norton Show. On the show, Lena sat down with Graham and other guests of the night when they discussed many different and interesting topics, and she also went up on the stage to perform Trouble as well. The performance of that song was really nice and cool, it was really simple as Lena mainly focused on her vocals and was trying to hit every single note and hold everything that she needed to hold, so that's why she decided not to walk around the stage a lot or do any kind of movement, as she stayed still in her place singing right into the microphone. Her voice was way stronger than it usually is, probably because Lena was focused on it and didn't do anything else besides trying to do her best when she was singing.
Graham: Do you like when you get associated with Eurovision?
Lena: Um, not really, actually, because that was just a part of my life, just a chapter, and I participated in it for two years in a row, in 2010, when I won, and also in 2011, and those times were actually stressful. I loved the experience that I got during those times, I learned a lot about the industry and how everything works, how to perform for bigger audiences and everything, it gave me a solid platform for me to debut as an artist, and although I'm really thankful for all of that, I don't want to repeat that ever again. It was fun, but that's it. It's a new chapter and I want to break out of this Eurovision girl image, because I want to be more than that. I don't want to leave my house and I hear someone saying, oh, look, that's Lena, didn't she win Eurovision in 2010?
Graham: How come you only got the chance to release your music outside Germany just now?
Lena: I guess that when you participate in Eurovision, you only are a thing in the whole Europe for like two weeks, and after that, you come back home to your country, and it depends on you whether you want to continue your music career or not. I chose to continue my music career, but I didn't want to be stuck in Germany, but I didn't have any chance to break out. I knew what I wanted, but I didn't have the ability to do all of that. So I waited, I fought for the thing that I wanted, I surrounded myself with patience and smart people who know how business and all that works, and five years later, I managed to sign the record deal that I needed and wanted. I guess you have to believe in yourself, you have to know exactly what you want, and then you can start fighting for all of those things. I give it all you have just so you could get greater things. If you don't invest, then don't expect it to come back two times bigger. I invested a lot of my time into my career and my deals and the meeting and everything basically, I worked really hard, but it all paid off and now I'm doing the things I want to do.

NATALIA KILLS COVERS PLAYBOY + SPARKS CONTROVERSY. E! NEWS, CNN, THE SOUP, WENDY, and host of other shows talk about cover + social media explodes.
555 words

With a more than successful musical career, fashion career, and a lot of endorsements, Natalia Kills has been the person to watch. In addition and most importantly to the producers of Playboy, Natalia Kills is sexy and the people at Playboy wanted her to be on their next issue of the mag. The pictures in the magazine sparked a lot of controversy all over social media and television many complaining about the fact that she is a married woman and is not supposed to be doing such raunchy covers because of that.
THE MAGAZINE INTERVIEW
Miss Natalia Kills, you are incredibly sexy to say the least
Oh my gosh, I’m a married woman, stop it (Natalia blushed as she said this)
Yes you are and that brings me to my first question. What do you think about women who are married or that have children who do raunchy magazine covers or advertisements?
Oh my gosh, is this still a thing? I mean, what is this 1979? What is wrong with a married woman or mother showing off her body to the world if she’s not showing her puss…I mean, even if she shows off her puss, so the hell what? That idea is so shallow because too many times, men like David Beckham or LL Cool J took very provocative shots when their wives were pregnant and when they were fathers but nobody called it controversial or asked questions like this but as soon as a woman is the one in front of the lens, all hell breaks loose. It’s sad and it’s reductive.
You seem to be a very powerful woman, does this reflect in the bedroom?
Heavens sake! Playboy!!!! You can’t ask a woman that!! Well **** it! Yes, sometimes actually. Now I’m not saying I’m a dominitrix flogging my husband and tying him to beds but I like to get sexy, I like to dress up and I like to be on top most of the time, it’s just a power that comes with sexuality.
Let’s talk about your music. There’s a song on your album called Stilettos and there’s another one called XXX. How often do you get inspired by sex?
Uhmmmm, not really often to be honest. Those songs are just one of those songs you write in a certain kind of time and in a certain kind of way, I just don’t go long hours thinking about sex and how long a guy’s dick is…no, I don’t! Heavens no! What do I look like?? (Laughs)
Do you see babies anytime soon?
Uhmmmm, to be honest no! Just cause I still have a lot to do as a business woman and I don’t want to rush it. When the baby comes, the baby comes and we all know as a mother, you have to put pause on a lot of things….I ain’t ready for that just yet!
Okay Natalia, final question…what is your favorite sex move or position??
Uhmmmm, I think just generally stripping and doing some foreplay before getting on top of my man….ya, it’s always sexy! Every time!!
Thank you for your time Natalia. Beautiful pictures by the way.
Thank you so much!

NATALIA KILLS ON LETTERMAN. TALKS "EYES SHUT", PERFORMS COVEN de COUTURE + MEDLEY OF “EYES SHUT” and “WHIRLWIND”. GUSHES OVER SOME OTHER CAL GIRLS
598 words

David: Our next guest has really risen far beyond expectations. After a moderate debut and opening for Taylor Swift, she has bounced back in a really strong way and is currently riding the airwaves brilliantly! Her latest single “Coven de Couture” has quickly become the song of the year and her album “The Definition of Bad” is selling like hot cakes in a snowy day in January! Please welcome, Natalia Kills!
**Natalia walks out wearing a short black gown, her hair in a long ponytail, and stilletos. Her make up is really mild and she gives off a very natural and vibrant look**
David: Natalia, so nice of you to be with us here tonight!
Natalia: I mean, it’s my pleasure. This is my first time here…just hoping we can have a very interesting conversation
David: Hopefully! First thing I want to talk about is your song “Eyes Shut”. It seems to be a very sad song? What really inspired it??
Natalia: Uhmmmm, it’s actually a really true story and I actually wrote this song a looong time ago, probably around 16, 17. It’s about this boy that I used to live with during my broke days. Of course we started getting more intimate and as time progressed, I actually started falling in love or so I thought with this guy. Anyway, we were planning a life together and he was interested in music too and we both had really big dreams until one day I went out and when I came back in, he was gone! Just gone! He took all my stuff and he just ran away. It was truly heart breaking
David: That’s so sad to hear and are you going to be making the song a single because it’s actually really good.
Natalia: Uhhmmm, probably! We are really not sure at the moment but hopefully you never know…we just have to wait and see!
David: Next question I have for you is about the state of the music industry right now. Who do you listen to and whose show would you pay good money to see.
Natalia: Now it goes without saying that I am a very massive Swiftie! I love Taylor to pits and I had the priviledge of opening for her a while back which was a truly magical moment. Her new album is currently no. 1 and rightfully so, she works really hard on her craft. Uhmmm Marina, Marina is my bitch for days….she’s actually my best friend in this business and I treasure our friendship a whole lot. Miley is such a queen, I mean she gives no ****s and she does what she wants when she wants to it’s badass. Oh and I can’t forget Ariana Grande…her new single “Heartbreak”….it’s my song for days, it’s just so good. I absolutely love it. But if I could go for one show, just one show by anyone presently in the industry, I think it would be for Azealia Banks. Her shows just seem like so much fun…riding camels and ****, I mean who else but Azealia would think about something like that so definitely her.
David: Okay, it was nice talking to you Kills and have fun on the road. Natalia’s new album “The Definition of Bad” is out now and it features her hit single “Coven de Couture” and my personal favorite, Eyes Shut.
Natalia later sang a medley of “Eyes Shut” and “Whirlwind” briefly before singing Coven de Couture in full on the show.

TOO GOOD TO LOSE X THE MUSIC VIDEO
938
Taylor Swift’s brand new single, the second single off her first ever greatest hits album Yours: The Greatest Hits, was released earlier this week as the official single from the record. The song, ‘Too Good To Lose’ would achieve amazing success just from the release of the song when Justin Bieber who features on the song would release his record to iTunes and other digital retailers (which indeed was a greatest hits records). The song would climb into the top ten on iTunes and would stay in the top twenty for an two weeks before being announced and released as the official second single from Swift’s and Bieber’s greatest hits records, both of which have been number one with sales over five hundred thousand copies (Taylor’s greatest hits record would sell over seven hundred thousand copies first week). Both records would score a number one, both the lead singles from the record ‘Style’ and ‘Memphis’ shooting to the top spot of the singles charts. ‘Style’ would debut at the top spot while ‘Memphis’ would ascend from the chart placement of number five to the summit, number one of the chart.
The single would achieve great success off the back, hitting the top spot on iTunes in over fifty countries around the world following intensive and heavy promotion from the two who’ve been traveling all around the world promoting the track. They’d perform and appear on over fifteen shows this week, making it one of their most promotion tracks to date. Further promotion would come today for the song but not in the form of a performance or interview. But in the form of a music. A music video for the song that would be uploaded to Taylor Swift’s VEVO channel, exempting Bieber’s as the two earlier this week announced the song would have two music videos from each of their perspectives. Taylor’s would be revealed first, the video being titled, ‘Taylor Swift w/ Justin Bieber - ‘Too Good To Lose’ (Part 1)’. The video would draw in massive views in the first few hours, scoring over fifteen million views in the first twenty four hours. Justin would co-star in the video with Taylor, the two playing a couple who’s relationship is going through turbulence.
The video would start off in black and white with Taylor looking in the mirror. Tears in her eyes and her mascara running from tears. She wipes at her eyes before she wipes off the mascara, reaching back to undo her hair as it falls over her shoulders, staring at her reflection in the mirror before we see Justin standing behind her, in a white button up shirt that’s unbutton. The two stare at each other through the mirror for a few seconds before the scene changes. Taylor and Justin are seen staring at each other from across a bed, Justin shaking his head as if he’s frustrated. Taylor is seen saying something out of anger which causes a reaction from Justin who yells something back at her. Taylor stands there devastated by his inaudible words before he tries to approach her. Out of spite, she throws a hair brush at him before he comes and pushes her against a wall, pinning her hands against the walls. They stare at each other some more before the camera pans to the room on the other side of the wall, showing a happier version of the two, of which Justin is pinning Taylor against the wall, the two face to face leaning into kiss before the scene changes again.
This time it’s Taylor sitting on the bed in her underwear and undershirt that look as if it’s a male’s, presumably Justin’s. She looks over at the the open bathroom door, the shower being on with steam rolling out. We see a shot of Justin in the shower, shirtless with the water running against his skin in a waist up shot. It pans back to Taylor who has a hand in her hair as if she’s thinking about something. Justin comes out with a fowl wrapped around his waist, looking at Taylor. She gets up the from bed, to be pushed down by Justin, who climbs onto of her. There’s shifting noticeable from the camera as a shot of the two waist up laying on each other are shown, the two staring in each other’s eyes before Justin begins kissing her neck, Taylor looking almost emotionless as he does so. She closes her eyes, when we open them, there’s an entire different mood portrayed by the acting, the intimacy being real and love filling the room. Shots of her hands running down his chest and back are shown, the two making love as their bodies move in the shifting position. The two never kiss before Taylor blinks again, the darker version coming back as Justin stares angrily at Taylor who pushes him off of her, leaving the bed, and zipping up the undershirt.
The bridge would feature happier moments of the two sharing hugs, dancing. There’s a clip of the two finally kissing, a long lasting kiss but the camera pans around them as it’s in slow motion. They’re in the living room of the house they’re in, with glass windows all around them. The glass shattered out of nowhere, the glass shards pouring into the house, the camera still panning around the two before it passes around one more time before it shows the two’s expression changing, kissing out of anger rather than admiration. When they finally pull away, the two stare into each other’s eyes at a loss for words and not sure what they’re feeling.

Cayman Records secures iHeart Media deal for Ariana Grande’s “Heartbreak”
514 words

SAN ANTONIO: Cayman Records has just secured a radio deal; this time, it is for Ariana Grande’s latest single “Heartbreak”. “Heartbreak” is the lead single for Ariana’s upcoming third studio album Keep Me Close. This album is the follow up to Ariana’s album My Everything, which featured the smash singles Problem (featuring Iggy Azalea), Break Free (featuring Zedd), Love Me Harder (with The Weeknd), and on the deluxe version Bang Bang (with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj). The album is due out next week with two promotional singles; a second main single is due out soon after the album’s release.
The radio deal cost Cayman Records a lot of money; however, the cost was fully covered by other investments and did not eat into the record label’s own capital. The radio deal includes a provision for Ariana’s current single “Heartbreak” to be played at the top and bottom of every hour on all contemporary hit radio, hot adult contemporary, adult contemporary, classic hip-hop, dance, rhythmic contemporary, rhythmic AC, urban contemporary, and urban AC formatted radio stations owned by iHeart Media as well as at the top of every hour on variety hits, alternative, middle of the road, modern AC, soft AC formatted radio stations owned by iHeart Media. In addition, any contemporary hit radio, hot adult contemporary, adult contemporary, classic hip-hop, dance, rhythmic contemporary, rhythmic AC, urban contemporary, and urban AC formatted radio stations that are affiliated with the iHeartRadio service but not owned by iHeart Media are required to play “Heartbreak” at the top of each hour, while variety hits, alternative, middle of the road, modern AC, soft AC formatted radio stations that are affiliated with the iHeartRadio service but not owned by iHeart Media are required to play “Heartbreak” at least five times per day. As you can see, this definitely required a large financial backing to allow for the song to be played on all of these formats and numerous stations. This is sure to make sure everyone hears the song.
This deal is expected to increase the single’s exposure throughout the country to many relevant audiences as well as many tangential ones; people who only listen to a little pop or R&B music may get to hear the song first while listening to their favorite radio station. While it can be said that this might make people mad and they may begin boycotts to prevent future “invasions” of their favorite radio stations by “crappy” pop music, iHeart Media and Cayman Records have both stated that this is not a major concern and that in their testing, people were overall receptive of “Heartbreak” mixing in with their normal listening patterns.
It is rumored that there will be a remix EP featuring various remixes in different genres, as well as an urban-oriented remix single featuring a male rapper. If these things do happen, then it would be smart for Cayman Records and iHeart Media to push the remix single to urban and the remixes on the EP to their respective formats, in addition to pushing the main version of “Heartbreak”.
