Guys, I hate to change the subject but I'm in desperate need of mature advice
Here's the thing: Someone very close to me was recently diagnosed with cancer. It was a very difficult shock but I've come to accept it. His doctor says he has a very high chance of overcoming this with chemo, because it was detected early enough, BUT (there had to be a but

), my loved one completely refuses treatment for fear of the side effects. We have all talked to him about the consequences of refusing treatment (his death),but his mind seems to be made up and he seems ready to leave this world

It has been very hard watching him in pain and watching his health deteriorate over the last few months, and we're simply running out of time for treatment, but he just won't accept treatment no matter what.
I know in the end it's his decision because he's already an adult (he's 21 years-old), but his decision is just too hard on the whole family, we simply refuse to let him go. What should I do? Let him go and accept the fact he won't be with us in a matter of months so I can find some peace of mind, or fight until the end for his life and keep trying to convince him to go through the ****ing chemo? :-/
