The thought crossed my mind, that since the starters final evolutions most likely leaked, that Gamefreak would go back and redesign the final evolutions and change them completely but I doubt that's realistic, especially with the release date coming soon

Honestly the only not ugly Fire starter final evolutions are Infernape and Delphox

There's nothing wrong with the final evolutions - except Litten. The best you can hope for is that there's a day version and a night version - but as they're both the same pokemon, they'd keep the same relative concept.
