Haha, I didn't see it myself. I crashed and fell asleep after getting home yesterday afternoon.

It has some nice airplay so far. I'm hoping that sales can help it pick up a little more. But you know how unreceptive radio is.

Finally listened to some of these songs.

I really like STIUTK. Kimbra looks and sounds like Katy Perry's vocally trained alter-ego. I can dig it.

I like Safe and Sound, not that hot on Eyes Open. I hope Safe and Sound can make it back into the top 10.

I didn't care much for We Found Love, and I'm not a huge fan of Feel So Close either. I guess I just don't like his sound.

There's no " jealous & pressed insecure isssues" for me, thank you very much. The song is just lazy, formulaic trash IMO. No worries, I feel the same about Madge's latest single & "I Wanna Go"/"Criminal" if faves are to shaded.

Anyway, I actually like "Dark Side" a little.

It's a nice song, but the album had more quality songs to showcase it better. ("Trouble For Me", "How I Roll", truer progressive songs) And you will not "" when you stan for "Starships". I do think if she was going to be lazy "BFB" would've caught on better since it's nonsensical & dancy versus the cornfest concept "Criminal" possesses (might've worked if she wasn't a Mom of two actually dating a great guy). But that conversation is tired.

"WDKY" stinks, but I don't take away her ability to find a hit after decline.

It's definitely as generic as it can be. But which artists out there now does not have generic choruses, catchy dance music and horrible lyrics to ensure they have a fire hit. Just because she tried it with this formula once, she's still has lots of awesome songs out there.
