Gunshots TV Spot

Taylor Swift and Zendaya have been all over the internet and television this week, also taking over on radio too. The two young starlets have been promoting their brand new single 'Gunshots'- which Taylor Swift decided to feature on after hearing the song through a friend. We were told that Swift spent hours studying the song and hours more writing a new perfected version of it before she asked Zendaya if there was a way she would be able to be apart of the song somehow. A recording session in New York City was booked with Mike Will Made It and the girls recored a brand new version of the song in about two hours. The promotion for the song has surely paid off as the two have been all over the world promoting and every country's response to the promotion has been absolutely incredible. The song was a last minute release so not that many people were aware of the song since there was no hype for it. "It was literally recorded lat Friday and was released Monday" Zendaya told everyone in an interview. The song had managed to climb into the top ten on worldwide iTunes before heavy and intense promotion kicked in carrying the song all the way to the top spot on iTunes worldwide, going #1 in over 91 countries, a feat that Taylor Swift has chronically done in the past year or so. Further promotion for the song continued as it received a special TV Spot or commercial for the song. It begins by playing a clip from the music video as the song chimes in. About ten seconds of the video plays before text comes over the screen (the same used on Swift's latest projects, which is why we think Tigerlily Recordings funded the spot). The text makes the singer aware of the song, who sings it and such, and that's it available on iTunes along with Taylor Swift's 'Coven 13' EP. The commercial has helped the song greatly, increasing it's sales by nearly 50%, sending the song to #1 on iTunes within the first three hours the advertisement was put into rotation. The commercial has received heavy oration on music channels such as MTV, Fuse, Vh1, and more. You can buy 'Gunshots' by Zendaya and Taylor Swift on iTunes now.

Friday, July 4th Promotion
NBC FOURTH OF JULY SET

Having no televised promotion booked for Friday, Danity Kane headed to New York City in the morning to make a surprise appearance at the Macy’s Fourth of July parade through the busy city streets. With “Lemonade” blowing up, and their confirmation of all things ‘DK3’ EP-related, the girls arrived right on time to take advantage of this spectacular opportunity. Performing in front of hundreds of thousands of people live, and tens of millions watching from their televisions - Danity Kane really hit the bullseye with this booking. They performed on a flat stage floor that had right, white and blue glitter all over the bottom. The float was about forty feet in length and thirty feet in depth - it was one of the largest floats in the parade. On the float, was a live band consisting of a drummer, two guitarists, and a DJ connected with many speakers on the float. The three girls had some nice space to do minimal choreography, however for the event they mainly selected songs that were ballads, that would really showcase their vocals. But it’s Independence Day - not a funeral, so the girls still got the crowds pumping with their old hits and new material. Even though Danity Kane performed eight songs at the event, NBC only televised three songs - “Damaged”, “Lemonade” and the biggest crowd pleaser of the day, “Rage”. In “Damaged”, the three women just did some minor choreography and showcased a more laid-back version of the song. Many members of the crowds were able to recognize the song, singing along and getting really excited knowing that Danity Kane was back. With “Lemonade”, the girls did some more choreography, which was the main routine they’ve used in most of their performances since they didn’t have that much space. And in “Rage”, the girls completely tore it up. Serving emotional vocals, all the girls were riding on the edge of the float, really connecting with the crowd, walking around the float and swaying their arms as much as they can. The song itself is a party anthem, so the crowd fell in love with the new song. The commentators mentioned to the tens of millions of viewers at home at the song would be released of their new EP, ‘DK3’ come this Sunday and that “Lemonade” was available for purchase right now. Although Danity Kane got TV viewers very hyped, they still left out their hearts on the streets of New York. Their full set included:
“Rhythm of Love / One Shot”
“Strip Tease”
“Ain’t Going”
“Stay With Me”
“Damaged”
“Lemonade”
“Rage”
“Poetry”
Now with their EP announcement and Fourth of July performance, “Lemonade” shot back up to #2 on iTunes, but was blocked by “Gunshots” of Zendaya and Taylor Swift due to the massive hype of the video release later that day. With that much hype surrounding the trio, rumors also circulated that their EP would be available for pre-order later today. Keep on the lookout and be sure to purchase “Lemonade” today!

Friday, July 4th Promotion
'DK3' UP FOR PRE-ORDER
It seems like the six-year wait is finally over... except it's not Sunday yet. Right after their surprise performance on NBC's/Macy's Fourth of July special - Danity Kane took the opportunity to catch all the major hype they had and put their EP, 'DK3', up for pre-order on iTunes. Tweeting the link to it, the EP's pre-order snatched the Top Trending Topic on Worldwide Twitter Trends, proving that the DediKated Crew can get the job done with lots of devotion. Just a few hours later, the EP smashed in France, hitting #1 based off of pre-orders thanks to the promotion they did their earlier this week. The EP also charted within the Top Five in the United States, Japan, Australia and The Bahamas. Although it's not highly ranked in that many places, it's still charting in the Top 200 in about 70% of the world's countries that have iTunes, which is actually amazing for Danity Kane. The EP will be released in just two days, on this Sunday. And with all three tracks being available to stream ("Rhythm of Love" and "Rage" from live performances), it seems like many are anxious to have this officially purchased and on their devices. It's very nice to say that you can officially pre-order 'DK3' on your country's iTunes, now!

Do the MTV Dumb Questions piece I did a few pages ago. It will work for quick promo. Do a QVC apperance, a Zales Diamonds Promo tie in and keep it up! You got this. Oh and Dolly is a messy character I sort of love.

Mariah Carey on Macy's 4th Of July Special

Yesterday morning, it was announced that Mariah Carey will be managing the Macy's Firework show and will be performing. The supreme songstress's team had leaked and revealed that something bigger is coming that everyone wil not expect. The Macy's Fireworks was then released strategically during the special with everybody cheering and screaming for joy as they looked at the colorful fireworks in the sky. When everyone had thought the fireworks show ended, Mariah then personally release another firework which exploded into small fireworks, which in turn create the words "Happy Independence Day and do buy "The Stygian Chevalier" on iTunes now !"
After the firework show, Mariah quickly changed into a beautiful red gown which shows her curves as she waited for her turn to perform. After performances from other artists such as Britney Spears and Danity Kane, Mariah stepped up on stage to perform "Hero", dedicating it to all the unsung heroes that sacrificed themself to make US what it is today. Singing a piano only version of "Hero", she had a choir to back her up as she sang the last chorus. She added a few impromptu moments by adding a few add libs here and there.
The stage's lighting then turned brighter with prism like colors shining around. The intro of "Libidinous Dream" kicks in as the audience screamed for joy in anticipation. Mariah Carey started by singing a few impromptu words. "I thought you are here, riGHttttt byyyyy mmmYyyY sideeeeee" Mariah sang before she started singing her verse. She didn't dance as much because of the restrictions of the tight red gown she's wearing. But overall the performance was great because of her engagement with the fans during the performance.
After that, the stage starts to darken and a light shines upon Mariah to make her the only focus. "Everybody has to face their dark side sooner or later, it's just the question on whether you are will to embrace it or not." As an unreleased intro remix of "Disguise" start playing. With only a piano, percussions, violins and the choir backing her, she sang the song with all her heart. The vocal break that were done purpose made the song even more emotional. After that heartfelt performance of "Disguise", she bow down and thank the crowd and people who tuned in to watch the Macy's Special.
Mariah's performance received mostly positive reception worldwide from critics and GP alike, though some people have stated that Mariah's performance was a little bland and uninteresting. The Macy's 4th Of July Special had over 30 million people worldwide tuning into NBC channel that night, and "The Stygian Chevalier" rose to #1 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart after the NBC Macy's Special.
