This album is the most coherent album she's ever done, and it sounds nothing like she's ever done. STRONG country influence. One song is overdubbed by Hillary Lindsay in traditional country harmonics. The first half of the album is western bangers, some have amazing guitar parts. Perfect Illusion is in the middle of the album. Second half contains soul/doo-wop-ish sounds (thing Gaga doing Meghan Trainor). My favorite song was called "Just Another Day", the only song written just by herself.
Joanne is a fantastic song. There is a song co-produced by who she said was "Emile", I believe she means Emile Hayne. Everything was produced with Mark Ronson, there are more Bloodpop songs too. No other Kevin Parker songs.
and if she chooses the singles right (like I had a conversation with her about) she will have HITS. AND, this album wil lbe her most criticaly acclaimed.

I feel like crying actual tears because I'm so overwhelmed that Gaga's finally happy with being who she is. She finally has the strength and courage to wear two-dollar clothing in a music video from a major record label and not give a **** about it.
This will be perhaps my favourite era so far. No dramatics, no concepts. Just Stefani, her guitar, her words and her voice.

I'm really happy that you enjoyed yourself, and if I were there I'd feel the same.
But have no doubt that nobody would have ever checked for Stefani if there was no "Lady Gaga" and there's a reason she saw no success as simply Stefani. There is a true reason some are let down by her... Whatever. I will await the album patiently and hold back my disappointment so far.
