A Fading Love Edition
PHASE 1: THE PEAK OF LOVE
KYLE - Sex and Super Smash Bros
CLICK ME
The boy and the girl in a relationship? Eventually they will reach a peak of love. People would stereotype that guys love two things the most, sex and games. It all must begin with seeing eachother. The first lines capture the first meeting. The boy wants to know the name of the girl.
He tells the girl she got a big ass and he got a boner. He then says why she isn't famous, meaning that famous people are very attractive and so is she. And the bragging about himself, and the praising of her continues. You find out that the girl is cuban and they don't understand eachother and just have sex. It could also be regarded as the first steps knowing eachother. You love eachother, but you have yet to learn a lot about them. no habla ingles means that she doesn't speak English, but it also in a way means that they don't know how to react to eachother.
Then the song begins to name the two things guys generally love the most. Sex and Games. He likes the game in bed and the actual game.
They get more and more attracted to eachother and she wants him to stay close to her. They start sending eachother nudes (me and her taking pictures without clothes tho). And the sexing goes on....

The couple is deeply in love. The guy has found his two true lovers, games and her. She likes doing 'things' with him too. It's the peak of love. They are just having fun and there are no worries whatsoever.. that's what they at least think...
PHASE 2: THE BREAKUP AND THE DENIAL
BOY - Little Numbers
CLICK ME
The girl hasn't accepted it. She still loves him deeply and doesn't accept the break up. It's hard for her to kill time ever since she met the boy. She knows his 7 numbers. His telephone number. She doesn't want to give up trying and lives in complete denial. The breakup has happened yet she still dreams about him. She is all on her own watching the sky turn blue. It could imply that the night is coming, but the girl knows what it actually is. The sky she sees everyday turns a darker blue, hinting that she slowly comes out of the denial phase. She now sees that they broke up, but she still wants to keep trying. She thinks of all the perfect things they could be together.

The girl has a hard time moving on, but the guy has moved on already. Now the breakup seems nothing to them, but they have yet to feel the loss of their lover. They need to find new patterns once again, and that's going to be harder than they think..
PHASE 3: THE PAIN AND THE DEPRESSION
Darwin Deez - Deep Sea Divers
CLICK ME
Breaking up becomes much harder when you realize you have to start over once again. You thought love was a simple game, but it's much more than that. It's a sea. The boy and the girl started floating on the water, sunbathing, having fun and having no worries. But you're chained to eachother, you don't know that yet, but the moment the girl finally falls down, the guy falls with her. He sees that her eyes don't look the same as they used to. Her empty eyes aren't alive anymore, shouldn't they be? She doesn't smile anymore and she brings him down and now they are both in the deep. They both have hit rock bottom. With her bringing him down, he is now also blue. He is also depressed and unhappy.
The sea is a metaphor for a relationship. The deeper you get, the darker and colder it becomes until you hit rock bottom and you're feeling blue just like the color of the sea.

You and I are sitting on the ocean floor
You're bringin me down,
And now I'm blue,
Now I'm in deeper than you

Now that they are both in deep, it's now time to unchain themselves and let the others go. They need to swim back to the surface on their own, and if not, they will stay depressed until they lose their breath. It's now up to the boy and the girl to go their own way and move on.
And so life continues........

I did the best I can with these random oddball songs
Obsessions can be a good or bad thing. They can consume you or they can drive you to be the best you can be. The songs I chose for my trinity represent three individuals with different levels of obsession and objects of desire, sometimes displaying the thin line between obsession and addiction.
This song from Mika sounds like he is with someone but the relationship is close to failing. Mika is still obsessed with his lover though, so he is pleading with him to stay "all I want to do is make you happy" signifying that his partner is his whole world and purpose in life, he is obsessed with him.
"But if this is love just watch me die on you"
"At the very least just let me cry on you"
This form of borderline destructive obsession I would not tolerate in a relationship, I wouldn't care if they were my devoted servant, they can take their messy psycho ass to some other babysitter.
This next obsession is a healthy one, its just about having a preference for women of color and wondering why it bothers some people. So basically **** what the world thinks and kiss a black girl. I stan some black ladies myself, so I get this obsession. The singer just wants the whole world to taste the rainbow and stray away from the vanilla.
Enjoying darker skin (hihi Zayn) isn't a crime or bad in any way, so I rank the obsession as a good one, and one I wish my racist redneck southern family members shared.
The lyrics of this song can be interpreted in a few ways but for this trinity, I'm interpreting that the guy has an unhealthy obsession with his food, in this case it is a big juicy steak.
He loves it so much that he names it Mr. Steak, he talks to it, dresses it up, and then he takes Mr. Steak out to the clubs and they do the booty booty shaky shake.
Things get a little weird with Mr. Steak when he starts "meat jerkin to the beat", but eventually the obsessed can't resist the temptation anymore and he gobbles up Mr. Steak in all his juicy goodness. Stay tuned for the sequel, Mr. Chicken Wing and remember what your parents always told you, don't play with your food.

rl231's Smooth and Sexy Trinity
For this round, I used the three songs that I felt had very smooth voices in it and just an overall cool, sexy vibe to it.
"Pleasure Toy" to me is such a weird and interesting song. I've only heard of Bilal on Kendrick Lamar songs, but that was it, so it was a nice surprise to hear that his voice has a cool falsetto thing to it. The song itself is very soft and smooth and reminds me of the type of songs that you would have sex to, especially with the name Pleasure Toy. I thought it was very smooth and sexy because it's just a song that's pretty simple, yet with an edge. And it talks about Bilal being a "pleasure toy" to his girl and how he can make her lose control of joy from the "fun" that they're going to have.
"Automatic" was actually the only song I knew of out of the 4 songs given. I feel like this song has a very nice soft quality to it, but the beat brings this new dimension of coolness. ZHU and AlunaGeorge's voices are very similar in that they're soft yet unique, so a duet with them works. The way that their voices fit together make for a very smooth and sexy duet. Also, the song lyrically promotes this smooth vibe on how things between others flow so well that it's "automatic."
Janelle Monae is a phenomenally unique artist in her own right, and this song is kind of just that. It's very soft and smooth, but then there's this jazz component that makes you want to groove to it. I personally believe that it's sexy because of the way that she is building up this experience between her and her lover. Also, I love the way that the song builds on itself and becomes more jazzy and cool. It's almost like the said experience is becoming more intense as the song goes on. Finally, Janelle's voice is a combination of soft and velvety, with a little kick of powerhouse because she can definitely hit those types of notes.

One time I met this guy in school, and I fell in love with him. Let me tell you this short story.
"It's just a cigarette and it harms your pretty lungs
Well it's only twice a week so there's not much of a chance
It's just a cigarette it'll soon be only ten."
So I met this guy named Nathan, and he was like, so hot.
And I'm like. Wow. I just want to jump his bones.
And that's exactly what I did.
But then after I hopped off, he grabbed a cigarette out of his jeans pockets,
and I'm like
"I'm gonna be round my vegetables
I'm gonna chow down my vegetables
I love you most of all."
And then he was like "no bitch" and I'm like "yes bitch."
It was like a nonstop episode of RuPaul's Drag Race for like 10 minutes.
And I'm like "do you want to end your life? do you want to be on life support and be a vegetable?"
And he's like "only if i'm a pickle" and I'm like
"But soon as I get weary
Soon as I lose my head
You're there to lift my burden once again."
So then he broke up with me. And I was like, "excuse me ugly, I'm just trying to save a life."
But he wouldn't have it.
Fast forward two weeks later and he came up to me, kissed me and said, "you're a good friend,
I understand you just want the best for me, I'll stop."
I was so turned on I blew him on the spot.
that's it

KELLY CLARKSON ANTITHESIS TRINITY
Antithesis: a person or thing that is the direct opposite of someone or something else
In this trinity I will present to you three songs that are the antithesis of a Kelly Clarkson song. You will also notice that all three of these songs have something in common:
they are garbage
I will then proceed to cleanse your ears by presenting the Kelly Clarkson song that is the opposite of said song. The theme/message of the song is the main point of opposition, but in general, you will also notice the opposites in vocal talent, lyrical content, production, genre, and overall quality.
Found Better is a scorned lover is has moved on, and found someone better. Simple enough. I decided to chose "I Hate Myself For Losing You" from her second album, Breakaway, because it a direct opposite in mindsets. In Found Better, the woman is very set in her ways, and happy that she has left her past lover. In Kelly's song, she is miserable that she left her past lover. The sassy attitude in Found Better is a direct contrast to the forlorn vibe of Kelly's song.
In the first song, Every Night, the general message is of a girl with a severe crush on someone, with whom she wants to spend every night with. This happiness in contrasted by the bitter and scornful Never Again, from Kelly's third album, My December. You will also see a strong contrast in genre, the first being very electro based, while Kelly's is very rock based.
This one is very obvious. One is a trashy song about booty calls and one night stands, while the other is about the classy route of not hooking up, and wanting something more. Quality over quantity. I Do Not Hook Up is off of Kelly's fourth album, All I Ever Wanted, which continues the chronological order in which each song, and parent album was used.
