I am not a huge fan of Iggy but I want to believe Britney is taking the right decision this time around with Pretty Girls... I'd hate to see her flop "again", Work Bitch wasn't really a flop. It's another iconic single from her and it's already platinum, just not certified yet. And that's not bad. Britney Jean kind of bombed yeah, but not Work Bitch.

So it's good they're gonna go with singles to see if they're gonna reach an audience and maybe what formula will work best. My fave did it: she put out 2 folk pop songs that sort of flopped so now she's back to dance music. Britney can try to sell different sounds before going for a full album.

I personally am but I think it's better if we assume we're not getting an album soon. I think it's odd that she did a Billboard interview and didn't announce new Vegas dates, didn't announce an album or a single. They basically did a magazine spread to say she has nothing in the works. Then Iggy directly quotes her team saying they said "she's ready with the album." Now, they could've just said that so Iggy didn't take Pretty Girls but it could also be true.

Don't forget. The Circus era started with "we're just messing around in the studio, recording some songs but there's no album planned yet." The single dropped in September and the album followed that winter.

Plus, she posted a picture of herself in the studio back in the summer. Why would she even do that if there was no album planned?

I don't think she's doing a surprise release like Bey. Obviously not since she has a single coming out next month. But I think they're keeping it under wraps for as long as possible.

Can someone explain to me how it's "delusional" to think Pretty Girls will go #1 on iTunes? It'll be awesome if it does but it's really not hard to accomplish..

Work Bitch missed it by a hair. & HIAM not only went #1 on iTunes but debuted at #1 on Billboard. She's still relevant enough to do it. She's not Mariah level yet.

It doesn't even take a lot of sales to get there. Like Jawni said, Wrecking Ball sold a **** ton that week so the competition was stiff.

Right now, the competition isn't. Thinking Out Loud & Uptown Funk will FINALLY be on their way down the charts when Pretty Girls is released & the #1 song on iTunes currently is BBHMM by Rihanna and I hardly doubt that song will get the radio support to stay there much longer. It had already fallen to #2 the day after its release and only went #1 again because she performed at the awards and it's decreasing again.

I'll keep my hopes low after Britney Jean but a #1 on iTunes is hardly laughable. Some of you are a mess.

Yeah pretty much all of this I agree with but I won't believe the album is coming until she says it herself. Maybe they are waiting to see how Pretty Girls will do before they announce it as the "first single"
