Yes. It was mostly live. I could hear some differences between the performances to the studio recordings. O Holy Night is questionable though. It was almost identical so I think that one was done with the backing track or something.

Mariah wasn't there. Trey and the choir did it by themselves.

I enjoyed their performance though. It was cute. But not the most memorable moment of the show. Trey can sing well. I'm surprised he hasn't tried a solo career although it might be too late for him.

Anyways, I know that if Mariah would've been in it, then it would've definitely been a lot better tbh.

Maybe she will considering she added Emotions to the set list today with no one expecting it.

I just listened to Trey's albums earlier today actually since people have been talking about him more here. I loved them! I didn't think "Mr. Mista" would be as good as his debut after I heard that... but boy.

His debut sounds like a mix between Emotions and Music Box, which makes sense since it was released between those two.

But he does have a good voice! Perhaps he wasn't marketed properly so he never really got a chance to shine. But then again, I think Mariah and Trey has a good chemistry so I love them together and hopefully they will be together for a long time.

Trey is a really great singer, and you can hear the reasons why and him Mariah work together vocally as well. If you like Emotions I think you'd like his debut.

It's also nice to hear Mariah singing backup, especially since shes so prominent. It's something very different from her.
