Agreed on Purity Ring. They're hit or miss. This is the first song I really have loved. And history will be kind to Carly. I think the hate on CMM is misplaced though. THe real hate should go toward The Owl City guy. IMO, his tacky song and desperate latching onto her for a hit, ruined her in the eyes of the GP. Good Time is the worst song ever (sorry for the rant, I think I hate Owl City more than any artist )

AQUARIA is awesome. I wasn't quite blown away by BOOTS's album (his mixtape last year was better), but the song is very nice and near perfect. Of course though, BOOTS worked with Bey .

Well, it's no Worth ItTalk Dirty, but it's almost as good. Jason served up a sonic 180 with this one, eschewing the urban accented horns and 2 Chainz's of Talk Dirty for this infectious 80s flavored jam. It just gets better with each listen. If you let it, it will bring the good times Jamie XX promised.
ZHU's nocturnal grooves were a nice discovery last year (thanks ASF!), and I've been hearing him ever since. Propulsive and sleek Automatic glides along. I love those little piano flourishes throughout. That surprise sax attack at the end always gets me, but like I said, I'm a sucker for brass instruments.
The only Blur song I have here and my favorite on El Whippo Magico. I love the thick layer of gloom that surrounds the song, like heavy fog on a cold winter night, and that chorus about the cherry trees of Pyongyang worms its way into your head. This is also the perfect song for long walks, but not runs, running is terrible..
Yes, "Begin Again" slays! Also, I strongly believe that "Run Away With Me" will be hailed as a "Dancing On My Own"-kind of future classic. It's really one of the most acclaimed songs of the decade so far. It's fantastic. It's iconic.
