bated breath is one of best song of her career (definitely top 10) and far side of the moon slayed. i like party flavor but it is no where close to song like bated breath. so take down a notch or get you ear fixed.

i really like this song. idk why so many people are hating. although i do find it weird she was going dance/pop and then she releases an urban banger similar to her mixtapes to kick off the project

It's not weird. This is a buzz track to launch the era. If she would launch the era with a full length pop smash, a lot of the people who got into her, would get confused. This way she gives a signal that she still has the stuff that her "early-fans" like. She most likely releases a full length global commercial smash backed by RCA soon enough to properly launch the era. This is just the first step.

Also I don't get why people keep complaining that this is worse than Aquarius or too "samey". It's just the first song, and I would have been suprised if she would have neglected the sound she build the last years. Just wait and see when the album is out, before judging too soon.

it's literally just a teaser single ya'll, a reverse Feels Like Vegas tea, the real lead will likely be the Max Martin, Dr. Luke, or Diplo single and it will be released within the next 2/3 weeks probably

Tinashe has invested years to created her sound and build her current fanbase and her fanbase is still relatively new/young, there is noway she is going start a new era with completely a different sound from her previous materials without ensuing her fan first she is not abounded the reason they become fan in the first place (that is career suicide), especially when she is going a different direction with this album and is her expending sound and her career (which she need if she wants one). its obvious her first single would be influence by earlier material or she would released two different single.

i know right! it ATRL after all, people in here complain about everything, it is obviously not the lead single but a quick bop for her fan, so just bop to it and stop complaining or complain to RCA to push this song on urban radio and whatever.

The problem i have is that RCA is not pushing this song at all not even on urban radio where this song has a high chance of doing well, i know tinashe is probably complaning to them 24/7 there is so much she can do.

Do any of you actually listen to Urban radio or just going off your personal judgement of if they will play this or not?

I can tell you that Urban is not going to even entertain this song. It's not Urban enough. This is a great song but it's not single material at all.
