I actually can't @ Miley exploiting black culture for attention and then 2 years later she pulling the "angry black woman" card to further besmirch one of her black peers. exactly. that's what miley was saying. instead of making it a feud, it should've been about the issues rather than the vma which i even said (i was on nicki's side) if nicki didn't start the argument off with that then it would've been fine

No, not everyone was twerking. And I wasn't even talking about that. I was talking about her styling, her music, the slang in lyrical content. She was basically modelled on Rihanna.

And yes it was exploitation because she didn't have real connection to the culture. It was just something she used. People are very quick to forget that she initially attempted to rebrand her image on P!nk but nobody was checking for her. Even though she was up to the same over sexualised, latex, breast grabbing shenanigans on VH1 Divas. That's when she went to her last resort, urban.
Notice that now she has everyones attention, she's completely gone back to her country/rock roots. Something she always wanted to do. I bet once it flops she'll go back to urban again. That's what you call exploitation.
