This whole thing is stupid. Nicki seems bitter and upset about not getting nominated in VOTY..she wasn't going to win anyway with Taylor in the category. She made something out of nothing.

If Taylor doesn't win VOTY, it will be Beyonce or someone else.

The thing is this is benefitting Taylor moreso than Nicki. And Beyonce can reap the benefits on the low low too, if MTV gets scared and pick someone other than Taylor to win so they don't look like they are taking sides.

I'm starting to believe that anyone that uses the phrase "race card" is either willfully ignorant or racist. Nicki was inappropriate but correct.

For reference guys, black music videos only made it on MTV because MJ and Billie Jean were ALREADY huge and they were backed into a corner by their racism. This conversation is not new.

Nicki was talking about MTV their choices not complaining that Taylor of all girls had to get a nomination. Yet Taylor got defensive for nothing. First of all "It's not me maybe it's the boys who took your spot ;_; ", like what are you fifth grader? Second, bringing up feminism when it has nothing to do with the subject and like it's about unconditional support of females and like two feminist can't argue about anything - this only shows that Taylor feminism is shallow and without understanding of the issue.

Nicki's points about racism/sexism & the media are CORRECT/VALID.

But this issue was not about them at first.

Nicki was mad she wasn't nominated for Anaconda, and let out Taylor & Miley shade in the process because she was angry.

She got called out on it by Taylor, which she certainly didn't see coming, and had to cover her ass.

So she acted as if her issues were about racism/sexism in the media, which they were not.

That's the issue.

But Why is Nicki Minaj complaining now? She has 3 nominations, she performed there last year twice, she hosted the MTV EMA's last year, she got 4 nominations and performed 3 songs there
