I just read the first page. Are we really comparing animals to humans and equating meat-eating with murder? We are higher on the food chain and it's in our nature to eat animals. I respect those who don't eat meat, so respect my choice to eat it.

Having a healthful, sustainable diet without meat is hard and in many cases expensive. It's not going to be illegal anytime in the next century, if ever.

I don't think it will be illegal, but I feel that meat alternatives are the future. Gardein is already super accurate. It would just have to become way cheaper, but people would avoid it anyways because soy.

Since we're an intelligent enough species to be able to understand the importance of ecosystem and distribute and survive on non-meat products, eating meat is just a selfish luxury. In third world countries, this doesn't apply, but most of us typing on ATRL are from super developed first world ones. I've been a vegetarian since I was 5 by choice and I turned out perfectly fine. Humans are not carnivores anymore. They're anything they choose to be.

i laughed at this whole post, especially the bit about respecting one's choice to eat meat of course not eating meat is respectable - it doesn't involve killing innocent beings. Eating meat means supporting animal abuse, torture AND murder (inb4 someone says killing animals isn't murder because they're not human) no, i do not support your decision.

Polar bears are not higher than humans on the food chain. Polar bears eat humans from time to time but humans particularly indigenous people hunt and eat polar bear meat more frequentiy and even use the animals' fur for clothing. Being at the top of the food chain means being capable of having any other creature on earth as prey/food if they so choose and only humans can do that so yes, we are at the top of the food chain.
