2008 was by far the best year of all time for Eurovision, followed by 2010, 2002, 1998 and 1999.
Anyway I think it would be right, as Sasha said, to do the top threes from 1999-2015, plus one song per year chosen by the participants, plus five extra songs picked by a special jury or something like that (I really want "Hold On Be Strong" in the ballot ).

Since we'll never get to start an official rate for obvious reasons, I think we should just do it here, but only after having called all the other ESC stans and officially decided the ballot.

I think so too.

I think the ballot should be top 5 from the last 10-15 years, fan faves are important but everybody has different faves and it would be almost impossible to please everybody. Maybe top 5s + the OGAE favorite that wasn't in the top 5 that year?

I mean fan faves like "Marija Magdalena", "La La Love" and "La voix" that are very popular among the ATRLers who watch the ESC.

Anyway I just had an amazing idea for the rate: the votes could be EUROVISION STYLE! The participants will vote just by giving their top ten (which means: giving 1 to 12 points). There will be two semis to cut down the songs from 70 to 36; then the final. And of course, the song with the most points wins.
