Chandelier, I really like that song when it is sung by other people but whenever I hear the original track, I cringe. Maybe, I would have liked it better if Rih sang it.
The Other Woman. Such a beautiful song, agree with your comments about the song, it's so amazing and underrated, the emotions on it are just heaven. Chandelier too.
From now on sporadic updates of 5 songs throughout the day randomly~
80 A: Katy B S: "Crying For No Reason"
Lovely pop ballad. I was indifferent to her album but the ballady songs seemed to be the best. She has an incredible voice with just a touch of soul that gives these songs the extra edge.
79 A: Ingrid Michaelson S: "Girls Chase Boys"
Add this to the list of pop songs that should have been smashes! Super fun, infectious melody and all around a perfect pop track.
78 A: Young Money (Drake) S: "Trophies"
Aside from Drake, I don't care for any of the Young Money people so this one flew under my radar. After I listened to it though it got me extra hyped for Drake's next album. Perfect hip hop track.
77 A: Azealia Banks S: "Desperado"
It's ALL ABOUT THAT INTRO.
76 A: Real Estate S: "Talking Backwards"
A perfect example of indie-pop and probably the easiest to listen to out of their album. Everything I love about Atlas is here.
"Chandelier", "Windows", "Go", "Repeat Pleasure", "Desperado" and "Crying for No Reason". The latter was the only song on Little Red that really stuck out to me.
As per all Lykke Li songs the lyrics are impeccable. This one is probably the centrepiece of the album (except maybe "No Rest For The Wicked") and its the most upbeat but still rooted in heartbreak.
74 A: Ariana Grande (feat. Cashmere Cat) S: "Be My Baby"
The only Ariana song on my list. For some reason this was my favourite from first listen and is still the best song for me. I love the production, and Ariana's voice is strong yet not screamy.
73 A: SOHN S: "Artifice"
I was extremely disappointed with his album and only two tracks (both of which will appear on the list) stood out to me. This one is much more poppy than the other more R&B-esque tracks. He reminds me of Justin Timberlake here.
72 A: Bat For Lashes S: "Plan The Escape"
Get used to seeing a lot of Mockingjay songs since there were a ton of great cinematic moments on that soundtrack. This cover of the Son Lux song takes away from the more upbeat dark production and uses a haunting atmospheric approach. Bat For Lashes is an artist I still need to get into but if there are more songs like this in her discography then I will definitely love it!
71 A: Majid Jordan S: "All I Do"
The duo who were partially responsible for Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home" released an EP this year of tracks that basically tried really hard to recreate the magic of that song. I was kinda underwhelmed but none of the tracks are necessarily bad, they're just too samey. This one stood out a bit.
Honestly, I have not really listened to too many of the songs in the most recent sets, but that's what 2015 is going to be for: Becoming acquainted with all of the stuff that I missed.
