Last Year's 47: Little Wonders by Rob Thomas |
Today is a winding road that's taking me to places that I didn't want to go
This is definitely another song I didn't think I'd like. People started posting this song on their countdowns around July/August, and I just couldn't seem to like it. Then, one night I was watching FNMTV, or whatever it's called, and the guys were premiering the video for this song. And I sat there, and I said to myself, I bet I'll like this, and you know what, I did. That's three songs this year that have done that to me. "
Your voice was the soundtrack of my Summer", possibly one of the slushiest lyrics of the year, but despite all the slushy love, it still manages to be like my favourite lyric of the year. "Thunder" is exactly the thing that teenagers girls ordered, and y'know what, I'm not scared to admit that I love this song. This is the only song by Boys Like Girls in the countdown.

That's when I start promising the World to a girl I don't even know yet, next thing she's wearing my rolex
Unlike the first few songs, this was an instant favourite of mine. The high dance influence with the mix of British Grime just completely blew my mind. The fact that the lyrics repeat themselves, well you might see it as getting on your nerves, but infact it'll stick in your head more if their are no tricky lyrics. There are basically two songs combined into one, although not credited is the "What Would We Do?" bit, although there is no sign of an artist for that part. After a few weeks of heavy rotation, I got quickly tired of this track. It still managed to stay on my chart for 15 weeks and peak at #2. This is the only song by Wiley on the countdown.

I'll eat my candy with the Pork And Beans
"Pork And Beans" is one of those magical songs, that the video makes you fall in love with the song. I fell head over heels for the "Pork And Beans" video, I mean that video is ****ing epic! Tay Zonday and Chris Crocker all in one video, slow down, too much to handle in one video. All the great viral video stars in one music video proved to make Weezer the best video band of all time. But enough on the video. Although the song is not as good as it's video, the song has it's own audience. "Pork And Beans" had this amazing guitar riff as soon as it went into it's chorus, as soon as you hear the guitar, prepare yourselves for the chorus, "I'll eat my candy with the Pork And Beans", ****ing epic! This is the only song by Weezer on the countdown.
