You must be new to the charts... Songs more often peak on radio after their digital peak. The Monster was a huge digital force when it debuted selling over 373,000 copies and stayed #1 on the digital songs chart for 3 non-consecutive weeks. It also was great on streaming but that was earlier in its run because that is when the album dropped and everyone rushed to hear it. That's why you now see its airplay lagging behind due to its high front loaded demand for streaming and digital.

I want a repeat of 2010, there were like 17 #1's that year

Js if I were incharge of these record labels I would be giving discounts to my artists for a week if I knew they were going to peak at #2 or #3. That way songs from last year like Suit & Tie, Get Lucky, We Can't Stop, Stay, I Knew You Were Trouble, Mirrors, etc would have had a week at #1. They all deserved it.

Counting Stars is totally way, way less big than the last 2 #1s.
Like, it's spent one week as the #2 download, none as #1.
And zero weeks in the Streaming Top 5. Like...eh.

It as #1 would be another...whatever that M5 was last year that a lot of people complained about cuz radio was propping it up despite Gangnam Style dominating in downloads (and streaming).

Say Something is getting bigger; we'll see how its longevity is.

Having a high initial start doesn't mean anything though.

It's not really showing to be that big of a hit. My problem isn't it having high airplay, it's that it's increasing airplay even more than other songs despite it decreasing fast in downloads and streaming.


If this was still neck and neck with Timber is understand but it's not even close to being at the top anymore

Sure, no problem. I'm not saying it's the official Hot 100 formula but it has always helped me.

Thing is this: Sales*4 + Airplay*5 + Streaming*91 = Total Points

Example this week:

Timber
Sales = 301k
Airplay = 109M
Streaming = 5.3M

So it would be: 301*4 + 109*5 + 5.3*91 = 1204 + 545 + 482.3 = 2231.3 = 2231
