Marijuana isn't particularly harmful if used in moderation.

No one says anything about a guy who has a beer after work and watches TV. Some people smoke a little marijuana and read a book, or watch TV. Yes there are marijuana addicts and drunks, but not all people who use the substances are those things.

Are you a scientist? Its a continuous research. People in 50's and 60's said cigarettes were not harmful if used in moderation.

Drug is a drug anyway. Why do you want to put that stuff in your mind and body? What are you escaping from?

Honestly, even if you think smoking marijuana is gross/silly/etc, it shouldn't be illegal just because of that. Someone smoking marijuana in the privacy of their home isn't going to harm you in public or in your own private space, and trust me, anybody who currently abuses marijuana would have done so whether or not it was illegal. But we've got to stop putting people in prison and ruining their entire lives over one of the most harmless "drugs" out there, including nicotine, alcohol, prescription drugs, etc which most people consume at some point in their life.

I like marijuana more than cigarrettes, too. Blech

"Drug is a drug" is not true. Caffeine is a drug, and methamphetamine is a drug. They are not the same thing in any way shape or form. You should do more research into the effects and risks of individual drugs.

Of course some drugs are more mild than others, like caffeine etc. Still, drugs are drugs. At the end of the day, they are harmful to your body.

But you can say enough unbiased and peer-reviewed research has been done on it to conclude that it isn't harmful, or at least not as harmful as other drugs that are legalized and regulated in society.
