Exactly what I expected. She did the SuperBowl and over $50 million of promotional campaigns.
Bitch don't even try it, this album had ZERO promotion. it basically came out of the blue (ivy) given there was no warning for it at all. No one expected it and Bey did absolutely no promotion for this release, it is selling on her name ALONE.
Numbers don't lie. At the end of the day, and down along in the future, there will be no BTW style asterix next to BEYONCE's opening numbers indicating that it was based off three days of sales. Billboard will just have the numbers and it will say Beyonce debuted with 200k+.
In the future no one is going to be talking about the opening week sales of this album. They'll be talking about the waves with it's revolutionary release.
No other Pop girl would've done more than 200,000 on a first week if they released their efforts on a Friday night and make it available only on iTunes, so I wouldn't say Bey's debut would be on par with them.
Didn't GaGa manage 100K from one day alone with ARTPOP? And BTW probably sold quicker as well.
Nonetheless, if we look at it from the 3 day worth of sales argument, these are great numbers. I'm just talking about the overall picture but I guess that would be asking too much of some people based on the responses lol.
Her stay power is just unreal. No physical copies, no single, 3 days of sales, like really
I'm kind of mad we didn't get a full week, the numbers would have been insane.
Kii at y'all who doubted her

The Super Bowl helped Bey go #1 in 80 countries? It's funny because, back in January, members of a certain fanbase were calling the Super Bowl local. And the Pepsi campaign doesn't count as album promo because it was months ago, she didn't have any new material out, and Grown Woman isn't even a song on the album.
