I would be satisfied if their next album has maybe 6 'safe' single choice options and then try experimenting a bit more with the rest. As long as they have enough material to promote the era, they should be able to expand their sound on the album tracks. 1D are primarily album sellers anyways, so they could start getting the younger fans used to a more mature sound while still drawing them in the with the bubblegum singles. I'm not here for another Take Me Home but I fear that's exactly what we're getting
