NBC’s ‘Assistance’ Gets Order For 3 More Scripts, Actors Options Extended

I hear NBC is keeping comedy pilot Assistance in contention with an order for three more scripts. Additionally, I hear producing studio Universal TV has extended the options on several cast members, including star Krysten Ritter and pilot standout Alfred Molina. Assistance, from Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez Prods., is based on the play by Leslye Headland who wrote the adaptation. It centers on an idealistic “working girl” assistant (Ritter) who is pulled between her colleague (“work husband”) and her real-life fiance while trying to manage a demanding (translation: crazy) boss.

So, the new season of 'Glee' will have some changes...a bunch of cast-members will no longer be regulars. Mark Salling, Amber Riley, Diana Agron, Heather Morris, and Harry Shum Jr. have been ousted but may still make guest appearances along the way. Now I was thinking of creating a thread, but I really just don't care. If anyone wants to post, have at it, but I thought this would be a good place for this information.

I think it's a little too late for Glee now. It's been labelled as the ''uncool, camp show that's embarassing to like'' already, so yeah.
How are its ratings nowadays anyway?

Season 4's ratings weren't good...at all and that was with A.I. as the lead-in. Not sure why it was renewed for 2 seasons seeming as Glee isn't really popular anymore. One more season might've been good, but I think they're sinking their own ship by renewing the series through 2015. Makes no sense to me but heY!

Honestly I think the 2 seasons were to ensure 2 more and then no more. The viability after 2 won't be much so to secure 2 was smart on their part. They could air it during the season then burn off the last in the summer if they find the numbers fall apart even more

Ah, I have no idea why I didn't think of this because that's a good business decision. Just think, though, people are going to be so over that show by the end of its 6th season.

ABC today revealed its midseason scheduling plans that support the strategy for limited runs of its serialized dramas laid out by topper Paul Lee at the upfronts. New drama Resurrection will debut March 9, taking over the Sunday 10 PM slot from another serialized rookie which will have a limited-run first season, Betrayal. Similarly, new reality series The Quest will premiere Jan. 2, following the the first 13 episodes of the Once Upon A Time spinoff, Once Upon A Time In Wonderland. Lee said today that Wonderland could come back with more originals after The Quest ends its run. ABC also has set midseason return dates for its older serialized dramas, Grey’s Anatomy, Nashville, Once Upon a Time, Revenge and Scandal, whose seasons will be split in two stretches of largely all-original episodes, one in the fall and one in the spring. Here are ABC’s midseason premiere dates:
