for some reason the order on my old one was correct, but the scores people had under it weren't, and then i started changing them and it ****ed **** up. IDK how it happened but I'm 99% sure everything is fine now. If you see a score that's wrong or see you are missing a score please tell me!

"Wow" is the first single from Lionheart out. This is definitely one of the scores where I really regret rating it so low. It's a very sensual song accompanied by a video of Kate seducing the watcher in a purple dress. I really wish I had given this around a 6-7 because the way it switches from mystical to mischievous is well done. Obviously most voters agree, with four voters giving it a 2.

"The Man I Love" is a duet with harmonica player Larry Adler and was recorded in 1994 for the tribute album The Glory of Gershwin. It peaked at #22 on the UK charts. I personally thought Kate did a phenomenal job with this cover. Her piercing voice fit quite well in a traditional Pop song and I am saddened that this is the lower of the two covers of iconic songs in this rate. The song got a massive amount of 7s, and was pulled down by a decent amount of scores below 6.

So this track originally was #37, but thanks to Janelle Monaé's 9, it's now #35. "Rubberband Girl" was the lead single for The Red Shoes in most countries. It was a modest success, making the Billboard Hot 100, and peaking at #12 in the UK. This song got scores basically across the board however there was not enough love to balance the hatred and/or indifference out. I personally enjoy the song in spite of the many "sellout" and "derivative" complaints this song has. The pulsating instrumental aids her voice quite nicely, along with a killer climax. She's also kind of a bad bitch in the video.

Damn, this started already? Completely forgot about it.
I love her rendition of this song because I'm so surprised at how well her voice pulls off jazz.
Edit: I was talking about "The Man I Love". As for Rubberband Girl, the lyrics is what knocked off three points from me, but instrumentally it's a great song and she serves some of her best vocals on it.

I don't know how I feel about this Andres giving "The Man I Love" a 10 and then doing Rubberband Girl wrong like that (even though I like both).
The countdown looks so good, so far.

"The Man I Love" is gorgeous, but it didn't make sense to score it too well in a Kate Bush singles rate. It's just not a good representation of who she is as an artist.

"Rocket Man" is the second of Kate's iconic song covers to leave tonight. The song was much more successful than her cover of "The Man I Love." It was recorded in 1991 for T wo Rooms: Celebrating the Songs of Elton John & Bernie Taupin. It reached #12 on the UK charts and even #2 on the Australian charts. The song also has garnered a lot of respect, and is considered one of the greatest covers of all time by many music listeners and critics. I personally do not agree with them (and obviously a lot of the voters are on my side). I appreciate that she didn't replicate the song's success, but overall I felt like the only parts I liked in the cover were done better on Elton's version.

Glad it's out. I always find myself listening to the Elton John cover right after I listen to this one, for what reason, I don't know. It's just something you can't cover and do justice (Idol/Voice/X-Factor contestants, take note; if Kate can't do it, you can't).

Dead at me failing to realize this was an Elton cover. Not sure how I completely missed that connection.
Anyway, I love what Kate did with the song. Her arrangement is lovely.

All the songs out so far should've made it to the 20's at least. Wow was top 10 material, too. That Elton John cover was really good, I love how she made it her own by adding different instruments and it worked really well imo.

"Them Heavy People" was a hit single from Kate's debut album. It was released in Japan where it became a top 3 hit. The song was also the lead track on her On Stage EP which peaked at #10 in the UK. The song revolves around Kate's desire to learn from "Them Heavy People" such as Jesus, and other important religious figures. I do quite enjoy this song and it is one of her most instant earworms for me. The beginning of the song starts off a bit slow though.
Another great gif I found:

Kate's early songs are nice, but her music got more ambitious and interesting as time went on.
