The only thing we can compare is the sales after a year of Telephone in the IFPI list (7,4 million).

It took Telephone 3 years to reach 3.3 in sales.

S&S sold 2.9+ m in like 6 months... Even her old hits like Womanizer crossed x3 plat mark after slowing down at 2.7.

Telephone. It sold more worldwide and is actually apart of a successful album. No one is buying will.i.am his album so it makes sense his features are decent sellers. Plus Telephone is the better song based on reviews and it's Grammy nomination. Not to mention it's accompanied by one of the most hyped, successful, and award winning music videos of the past 5 years.

Anyway, gays or not, it was the 4th biggest selling song of 2010, and it was also part of the reason TFM was the biggest selling album of 2010, so obviously Telephone's sales would be split between the album and the single itself. Telephone was, is, and will remain bigger than Scream & Shout.

I love Britney more than the other flop one but Telephone was bigger. I feel like S&S was a big hit but just flew under the radar. It just went by and go. While Telephone was really massive during its time of release. The video was also iconic.

IFPI isn't comparable. Korean sales are now 10x more expensive and much slower. "Crush Crush" made that list for being a hit in Korea, despite not being a hit anywhere else.

"Scream & Shout" is easily the bigger hit, despite digital sales being lower in the U.S. than they were in 2010.

Telephone only sold 7.4 Million. Scream and Shout is at 7 Million in less than a year.
