I get what you're saying..but at the end of the day, it still doesn't diminish the girls records..these are records that young artists like Katy and Rihanna will look back on and be like damn. Just like the records that Madonna, etc. hold.
We are in a different musical landscape..sure it's easier to get a number 1 record, but it's not like it's handed to them.
And as far as impact, when you're older, and look back you'll see Rih etc slaying. It's just generational.
